The guest house is situated in a very old building in the town centre. It was recently renovated, refurbished and equipped in a morden way. The owner of this establishment has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Our room was huge with a very comfortable bed & pillows. Little touches like having the fire lit when we arrived home at night, tea/coffee facilities available, lots of books, music & dvd's to browse through. Nothing was too much trouble including good advice on where to eat, what sights to see etc. A very charming residence.

This is a lovely Chambre d'Hotes, in a beautifully restored old
building around courtyards, decorated in French country style, and very
chic. It is very close to the town centre and picturesque harbour, but
is quiet and peaceful inside. The breakfasts are quirky and delicious -

It was a wonderful and charming little hotel converted from an old girls school. The young couple there in the day spoke good English and were very helpful, and the woman around in the morning was very charming and helpful despite not speaking English. Breakfast was in the courtyard on a sunny morning. The room was charming and had wooden beams. A real fantastic place where we spent one night, centrally located next to the marina and an abundance of restaurants.

I can't say enough good things about La Naomath. The setting was
peaceful and beautiful, and just a few minutes' drive to the town
center of Bayeux. The cottage was so cute, roomy, very clean, and

We liked everything. The owners were very nice and friendly. We stayed
in the family room which was quite large (one large bedroom and a
sitting room). It had one full bath with a shower and another room with
a sink which was helpful. The garden was beautiful. It was very peaceful
and quiet. It was a perfect location for the D-Day sites (you must have
a car). The breakfast was good. Everything was clean and tidy. There was

Chateau du Rozel sits in a tiny village on a windswept peninsula. It
feels like stepping back in time, staying in your own castle. Lovely
grounds, hot water, updated bathrooms, fantastic breakfast with homemade
jams from the garden. The nearby countryside & beaches were
gorgeous. Staff has passable English skills. Best part of all: not

The highlight of my trip to Normandy. A magical experience if you take
the time to take in the charm of the chateau. But most of all, the
Comte who is generous with his time and full of colorful tales
recounting his family's history from William the Conquerer through
wwii. The Chateau Bouceel will forever embrace a part of you. I will

chateau. The dining room for breakfast was breath taking. Not far from

The staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating.
The location was perfect for walking to the sites and to public transportation and right across from a large quiet park. The rooms were well decorated and very spacious. Ours looked over the garden on one side and the park on the other side. It was a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and filling and available for a reasonable time period.

This was an excellent overnight stop both going and returning from our holiday. My family of 5 where easily accommodated within a beautiful room. La Vieille Ferme is a well run B+B. The owners were welcoming. The lounge area had many books and brochures, as well as wifi. Good breakfast - we were offered delicious scrambled eggs from the resident hens. Twin room suited us (mother & adult son). Situated where we wanted to be, but also easily reachable from the Caen ferry so could be a useful overnight stop before heading south.

Bayeux is a picturesque town in Normandy and I'm so happy we chose La Tour Louise as our base for exploring the region. William, our host, was very hospitable and gave excellent tips on things to see and do. In fact, the places he pointed out to us were probably the highlights of our tour of the D-Day sites.

The Location is excellent for exploring Bayeux on foot. Most of the major sightseeing is within several blocks and parking is free for those with an automobile. It is also a great point for day tripping to all parts of the Normandy coast and WWII Invasion points of interest. We stayed 3 nights and could have found enough activities for many more nights. Many restaurants nearby.
