  This was an overnight stop heading south so my comments reflect that situation. The owner gave us a very friendly welcome and directed us to the main town so that we could find somewhere to eat as we arrived fairly late and it was dark. The room and shower room were spotlessly clean and the bed very very comfortable. The reception / breakfast ar... cosa dice la gente » ea was particularly attractive. Secure parking when you have a car full of stuff was a real bonus. The continental breakfast was excellent. - The property is not far from the city centre but can be a bit hard to find as it is behind a high wall. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and Eric was a wonderful host eager to provide us with information about the town. You need a map to find your way around the old town centre but there are some very good restaurants and cafés to be found.

  We loved this period designed, importantly historic (quite a WWII story), gem-in-the making. The spirit, enthusiasm' and sincerity of its owners make it easy to look past the few foibles in the place. Breakfast was simple but most adequate. The rooms are large with high coffered ceilings, yet quaint and cozy. The 'honour' bar in the charm - This place is amazing. You really are made to feel welcome. The bedrooms and communal areas are beautiful and comfortable. The grounds are lovely too, we just wished we had the weather to enjoy them more.The breakfast is really great, an excuse to have croissants every morning. In addition to this we were given so many great recommendations of things to do in the area, it really made our stay memorable. We cannot wait to go back again.
