  The hotel was in an excellent and beautiful location, literally at the bottom of the hill at the entrance to the castle. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and they all spoke great English. The space in the apt is great, but might be a bit tight for 6 adults as there is only 1 toilet (2 bathrooms).   Great location...and a good price and value for the money. It was a darling little apartment with everything needed, even a washing machine. Nice large back patio. - The apartment was fairly close to the Carcassonne ramparts & there were also some good small restaurants nearby. We generally enjoyed our visit.
