  I had been to Brantome the year before on a sightseeing trip from the Limousin and had thought it a rather delightful place, so for a treat we decided to come back this way for an extra night stop on our way home and use the Charbonnel as the restaurant is often recommended in guide books. Excellent walking opportunities. We were in the annex so enjoyed a lovely large room with our car parked safely under our window. Staff offered help in getting suitcases upstairs. Comfortable bed and pillows.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was included and was made up of croissants, bread and jam, coffee and orange juice. I would be happy to stay there again if doing a similar journey.
