  Before staying at Poblado Plaza I did some research and most of the reviews were great, apparently the only complaint was the dated bathrooms and TV's, but being born and raised in Medellin I knew Poblado Plaza as one of the best hotels around and, fortunately I was right. We had a very pleasant experience, beggining with the front desk staff and ... cosa dice la gente » the bellboy (Geovanni) who welcomed us at 1:00 am and was available all the time. We stayed in 2 different rooms during our 12 day stay, the first one - The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Medellin in Avenida Poblado, the major artery through the downtown area. There are three or more hugh malls within walking distance, a McDonald's and Hard Rock Cafe next door. Some desk personnel speak some English, but I found that there were generally few English speakers. The staff was courteous and attentive; rooms were spotless. WiFi worked well, and flat screen tvs got some American channels. Excellent breakfast.
