The location is superb for travellers with out a vehicle as it is so close to Central Train Station, the CBD, South Bank and bus departure stations. The Astor Apartments provide excellent, well presented accommodation and apartments have everything you need for a great stay. The apartment key & room allocated was well arranged and easy to access & directly to our room. On the following day, we realized one of the male staff is really helpful when we asked for an extra bed and the bed was there after we returned to the room. In general, the apartment is really well managed.

The room was very comfortable and we had unlimited access to the Zoo. Location was great.

  Loved the views. The rooms are sound proof and quite spacious. The rooms may of been a bit run down as in age but they are clean, presentable, functional and affordable with washing machine, microwave. The owners/manger's are pleasant, friendly and very helpful. Pool super clean and the Apartments are located in a g - Debbie and Ian were so helpful and friendly, we arrived very late on our first night because of the bad weather and Ian rang ahead and made arrangements so we would be able to get into the apartment whatever time we arrived. The apartment was massive and comfortable, very clean and with a nice water view of Port of Airlie. Would recommend to anyone and we'll be back one day for sure!

  The staff were so friendly and the family room we had was excellent. We will book a family room again next time we have to stay in Townsville. The boys want to come back in summer and try out the pool/spa. THANK YOU. - Large room for all the family and reasonable price.

Rob was an excellent host making sure we had all the information for where we were located and places to eat for dinner and breakfast. The best place we have stayed in so far on our trip of 3,300kms to date. - Rob was a very friendly host and an outstanding resource for information on places to eat and things to do in and around Hervey Bay. His blog also provided great recommendations about what to do on the way to Hervey Bay from just about every direction. Our room's back porch was a very pleasant spot to relax and have coffee in the morning and a glass of wine or beer at night. We really enjoyed our stay!
