Was greeted at check-in with a glass of white wine. Just what I needed after a long day at work! The staff are happy and have great personalities. Probably because they let some of their employees bring their dogs to work. And the design was very unique and posh. -

It is a beautiful hotel in a great location. We looked everywhere for a place to stay and were so glad we choose this location. Staff was wonderful and extremely helpful! The full breakfast each morning was an added perk! -

Accommodations are very nice. I like that when we ordered room service
and they got the order wrong. They did not argue with us, they just
handled it promptly. Staff is courteous and hotel is beautiful. -
The service of the staff was excellent - the front desk, manager, valet,
and bell hop were all so helpful! Clean, comfortable room. Great view!

The hotel, while an older building, had been recently renovated and what
a pleasant surprise with all the character & artistic flair in the
room (and even the hallway!) The "wow" factor was definitely
there when we opened the door to the King suite. The room was a lovely

I stayed here very recently for six nights while attending a conference downtown. Let me say it was totally worth the extra effort and cost in cabs to get downtown ( half hour by bus, 15 minutes 13 bucks by cab). The staff is friendly, courteous, and professional, from the cleaning staff, valet parking attendants, front desk folks and management. I get the feeling people love their jobs and want to deliver good service to the guests. The bar downstairs is awesome and deserves its own review. On

Great central location, close to San Diego's bus and trolley lines,
shopping in vintage shops, lots of restaurants in gay-friendly Hillcrest
area. Nice continental breakfast included and staff ensured that foods
were replenished and dining area cleaned constantly. Hotel caters to

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our suite was very clean with a balcony overlooking the pool and on the right spot for a late afternoon sunshine. It lacked a corkscrew, I asked for it and is was brought to the room within 5 minutes.
And the best: the location! Vibrant Hillcrest accross the street, a new Vons 5 min walking and close to all major roads.
