  We traveled with an 8 year old. The room even with a rollaway bed was very large. The city/lake view was great. The highlight for our child was the dessert - a snickerdoodle ice cream sandwich - from the restaurant. It is conveniently located. - It was our 25th anninersary.   We loved everything. We have stayed at several large and boutique hotels on the Gold Coast and the Peninsula is probably the best across the board. I have a difficult last name, but all of the staff immediately remembered it and also pronounced it correctly. - The location couldn't have been more convenient!   The hotel is in an excellent location. I really like the courtyard and the clean environment.The staff were excellent especially the janitors - 5 star service. Warm and friendly staff. The fact that they do not accept tips made their committment to excellence all the more valid.
