I particularly liked the sea view room we had, it certainly lived up to expectations. Elaine and Tony, the owners, were a very friendly couple, they took their business seriously, but in a fun way. What a find! I can honestly say this is one of the nicest b&b's we have every stayed in. From the lovely warm welcome and delicious homemade scone to the lovely clean and nicely decorated room and extremely comfy bed. We arrived to a lovely warm welcome from the hosts John and Gillian, we
were shown to room 2 on the 1st floor and we were not disappointed, the
room was tastefully decorated,spotless and the bed was lovely and comfy.
The breakfast was very nice with a vast choice of fresh fruits and
cereals followed by a delicious cooked breakfast served by john, the
friendliest host we have ever met. We are already planning to return in
a few weeks as it was such a nice place to stay. Thank you mark and sue.

Lovely warm welcome. We appreciated the help with our luggage to our room (elderly couple). Soon we were offered refreshment in front garden. Map of Scarborough given and our position in relation to highlights in the town - so helpful as this was out first visit. Nicely laid table. Generous "English" breakfast expertly cooked. The staff were extremely helpful to me and my small children. Nothing was too much trouble and they made the children feel special over and beyond the call of duty. The hotel was clean and well presented and excellent value for money. Being a single parent with two small children I find that most hotels leave us to our own devices which can be a little daunting. Gary was very helpful and totally understood the need to accommodate needs of guests like myself.

During our stay at the almar we had an amazing welcome, the owner Jamie
was really helpful and was there to help us with anything we needed. He
gave us a map of Scarborough and talked us through everywhere that he
recommended, and helped us with any other questions. He welcomed us
whenever we came into the hotel and checked we had a good day! Jamie is
a lovely man and we are honoured to of stayed in this hotel! We would
