  The location was excellent for the coast and Dartmoor. The hotel has a calm restful atmosphere and this is led by the owners. They are attentive, responding and remembering what has been talked about. A real personal touch. The food is top quality and freshly prepared. The upstairs Boathouse restaurant has views across the cove and we had dinner watching the sun set. The food was wonderful, the staff were very friendly and efficient. The view and sound of the sea from our room. The location is brilliant for walking the coast path to beautiful bays, and only 15 minutes drive to Salcombe. The village of Hope Cove is really pretty and quiet, with a very small Post Office stores.

  Superb location with hotel tucked into the side of a green hill overlooking the sea - very peaceful and serene ! All rooms are located at ground level (brilliant if stairs are a problem) and our room was very comfortable and well equipped. Staff were very friendly and always on hand to help. Overall a fantastic stay and my wife and I will certainly be going back again. - Staff were very professional, friendly & attentive providing an excellent service. Food was very good but perhaps a little expensive. Lovely location with spectacular views. New leisure facilities at the hotel (gym, sauna etc) will be great when finished. The pool is fantastic.
