Also the rooms were not too hot as in other hotels we have stayed in -
The room we stayed in was a gold room, clearly refurbished to a high standard. Luxurious room with a view out over the gardens and down to the sea. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Ideally placed for a five minute walk down into the harbour where there is a range of bars and clubs. There is a slight hill walk down and back up to the hotel but we didnt find it that bad although it could be for the less agile. All in all a fantastic stay and we will definitely stay again.

Just everything, I think perhaps they upgraded my single room. The view from the window was just stunning, breakfast was SO good, properly hand made using good ingredients, just such a treat to stay there. Staff were friendly, and helpful, the décor was lovely, ditto the room. I'd stay there again, no question of that, and such a perfect location

The hotel was very comfortable and staff friendly. The general atmospher was upmarket , with both guests and staff very polite. I have mobility problems and when I asked for a room near the lift , my request was instantly granted. I would thoroughly recommend a balcony room and the food was absolutely delicious.

The catering for the function we attended at the Hotel was really excellent. - Although we were only staying overnight the comfort, cleanliness and ambience of the hotel was great. We had a lovely evening meal and breakfast in a beautiful dining room - we would hope to come again.

Staff were very professional, friendly & attentive providing an excellent service. Food was very good but perhaps a little expensive. Lovely location with spectacular views. New leisure facilities at the hotel (gym, sauna etc) will be great when finished. The pool is fantastic.

Food was excellent. Rooms were excellent very comfy and well equipped. The grounds are so quiet and so looked after its a pleasure to be outside and listen to nothing. we stayed in one of the lodges. very quiet, very comfortable and spacious 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Introduced my wife and young daughter to the driving range and now they are both hooked! Breakfast was excellent as was the clubhouse and swimming pool. Perfect location for Dartmouth, Salcombe and South Devon. -
