Ce que les gens disent
Colin the host was absolutely great!! He took his time and informed us
well on what to do in Derry and elsewhere in Northern Irland. When we
went to the local pub later in the evening, he was there and made sure
to include us with the other backpackers from the hostel.
It was very nice and cosy at the hostel and the breakfast was MARVELOUS! Freshly baked bread, eggs, coffee, all kinds of good juices, fruit salad, many sorts of both tea and cereals. LOOOOOOVED IT!!!! :D. tous commentaires »
The owners were extremely helpful and welcoming. The kitchen was always open for us to sit in and use the cooking facilities. Continental breakfast was great, even had fresh bread. Bathrooms were shared but very nice. Beds were comfortable, 2 bunk beds in 4 person room. The location was great for attending the choral festival and the price was fantastic. Free wifi with no awkward log in was brilloant. I'd very much recommend to young people on a budget!.
I really enjoyed my stay. Steve was a welcoming and well-informed host. It was nice to have the twin room to myself and the shared facilities (such as the bathrooms and kitchen) presented no problem. Indeed, the kitchen was a good way to meet people and an excellent range of breakfast items were provided.
The location is conveniently central and Derry itself is a fascinating place.
We were just visiting Derry for one night and found teh Dolce Vita perfect for our requirements. Colin (or possibly Colum) was a very friendly host who provided great local information and generated a sincere warmth about the place. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dolce Vita for a short stay for the budget traveller....../Pauline Askin, Sydney Australia.
Great location for a city stay. B&b lovely with a great atmosphere. Very nice outside space at back good for smokers. Rooms spacious with good hanging space. Beautiful large kitchen which is a great place to meet others.
Excellent value if you only require a place to sleep. There are no luxuries but is clean and perfectly adequate. Shared kitchen is a great social experience if you don't mind being with strangers.
very clean;friendly and helpful staff - relaxed atmosphere.
Good value -
Freshly baked bread for breakfast - wine happy hour.
City centre location.
Helped with parking and local knowledge.
I loved everything about Dolce Vita from the decor to the home baked bread. Kylie really makes you feel at home and you are literally getting a boutique hotel at a backpackers price!.
Relaxed, easy going, trusting, flexible, small scale, like home, authentic, a refurbished terraced town house part of the old fabric of the city, no stress.
We loved the very friendly welcome from both Steve and Kylie. The hostel had everything we required and we felt very at home.
The beds were very comfortable. Homemade bread available in morning was lovely. Nice atmosphere in communal areas.
Friendly staff and a really comfortable room. Very clean and relaxing environment. Extremely good value for money.
It was a very nice place to stay in convenient location for the city. Atmosphere and facilities were great.
Steve was very helpful in marking on a map the sites of Derry. Also his home made bred was amazing!.
The staff were amazing. Very welcoming and very helpful with there knowledge of Derrys attractions.
Excellent little place close to Bogside and city. Clean and good breakfast provided.
The staff was really helpful and personable.
The location was fantastic.
Everything about this hostel is remarkable. Nice place to stay at.
Friendly staff, excellent value.
Staff and facilites in kitchen.
Very relaxed atmosphere.
Relaxed
Comfortable.
This is a lovely, homely hostel that we used as a base from where we could go and see the Lumiere lights show. The room was 2 bunk beds, so not ideal for 2 adults and 2 young children, but we chose it for its central location and the price. The facilities are nice and the presentation is quirky, with lots of personal touches. The shared kitchen / living space was lovely and would have been really useful for a longer stay. We would happily go back there nexxt time we head to Derry.
The position is very good if you want to visit Derry, which is absolutely worth seeing. People at the hostel are nice, but the reception was at the hostel next door (there was a piece of paper saying that on the door). Parking is behind the house (one-two cars maximum but we could leave the car for the whole day even after check out).
The staff was friendly and helpfull.
That we only stayed for one night.....
Couldn't control the radiator in the bedroom but it wasn't too much of a problem.
A bit tired looking. All rooms look like they could do with a freshen up.
There is nothing to not like as it's cheap and you get all you require.
No negative issues.
Only shared bathroom facilities which I did not mind.
I'm regretting not eating the complimentary biscuit. It looked delicious!.
Nothing.
We expected it to be a B& B, but it is a hostel basically. It is not very clean and the breakfast is self catered (some of the milk in the fridge and white bread were gone off :-( ) . Nothing wrong with that, only it is good to know before you choose it.
The price very expensive for a youth hostel sold as a B&B.
