  All our stay was perfect. The bedroom was just like the one in the pictures. Very clean and comfy. Great double bed. Perfect with tea/coffee/chocolate facilities in the room. Double glass window. Dark and thick curtain to get the room dark at night. The road workers arrived around 7.30 in the morning but we were already preparing us for breakfast (monday to frida - The Elder York Guest House is a lovely place to stay in Edinburgh! The location is excellent, walking distance to all attractions. There are road works going on, but these won't interrupt your stay and should be over soon. We were greeted on arrival in a friendly way and shown our very clean and spacious room, with bathroom ensuite. Our host offered an excellent recommendation for a pub for dinner.   This b&b is excellent in every way. The Georgian home is most welcoming, and is as elegantly decorated as it is comfortable. The breakfast menu is as varied as you would find in the best hotel, and is beautifully presented by a pleasant staff. A lovely china tea service with a selection of teas and shortbread cookies as well as chocolates were in the room every day. The soaps and shampoo were ample and well stocked. The bed, couch and chairs were very comfortable and the room was large and had beautiful big windows. It is also situated in a lovely quiet area with access to private gardens nearby.

Good location as Edinburgh's Grouse House is situated in walking distance to all the attractions but far enough from them to easily find free parking.
