The Elder York Guest House is a lovely place to stay in Edinburgh! The location is excellent, walking distance to all attractions. There are road works going on, but these won't interrupt your stay and should be over soon. We were greeted on arrival in a friendly way and shown our very clean and spacious room, with bathroom ensuite. Our host offered an excellent recommendation for a pub for dinner. The morning breakfast is very hearty and very delicious and the breakfast room is very prett

Staff lovely, very informative. The room was nice and big, very clean
and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in! A fridge in
the room which was helpful and a lovely settee for when you get back
from a long day sightseeing! Bus stop is right outside the guesthouse
and there is free parking on the street outside so you can leave your

the host and owner was very friendly, helpful and nice. Fhe room itself was smaller than expected for a family room. As I was alone in the room it was fine. but 3 people in this are definately will not work. The area itself is soso. Got called names from some youngsters one evening after I declined to give them money. Would love to,come back.

Isabel and Harry were the perfect hosts. On our arrival, seeing my husband had a disability our room was immediately changed to a first floor room from a second floor room, without even asking. Molly and Roxy the family dogs were adorable and very friendly. We have no problem recommending and staying here again, fantastic.

Our family of 5 stayed in the large family room and were happy with the size of the room. The location was wonderful with buses passing by the front door every few minutes leading right into town. Free parking on the street was convenient. The breakfast in the morning was very good. Our hosts were great - wonderful with the kids and super friendly and helpful.

The hotel is easy to drive to and parking was no problem. The owners are lovely people and make you feel very welcome. Really enjoyed the breakfast both food and the chat.
