Choosing accommodation in a city that you are unfamiliar with is always hard. We chose well as this hotel is brilliantly located in the "old " city right off the Royal Mile. Wow- fantastic hotel. We got it for a really good price through
letsbookhotel.com and our stay was perfect. The staff were brilliant and so
attentive allowing us to check in early and assigning us to a fab room.
The room was spacious bright and colourful with lots of lovely added
extras including free movies,mini bar drinks, robes and slippers. We
also had a massage each in the spa centre which was fantastic. The
location is more than you could ask for- everything on the doorstep!!

The hotel quality is great. Huge beds - everything well maintained and good quality. Breakfast was good - lots of choice. Great bar attached to the hotel. The hotel was very comfortable and welcoming. Soft leather chairs and twinkly lights. The room was excellent with quality fittings and nights sleep. No noise at all through to the room and it was Christmas party time.
Continental breakfast was really wholesome so much so that my husband didn't miss his usual cooked breakfast.

The hotel is an excellent example of how to restore an old building (with history) into a very comfortable & friendly place to stay. We found the staff to be very helpful & welcoming. The dinning experience in the restaurant could not be faulted.
I liked the idea of the room names (but would have liked the names to have some relation to the buildings history).

The flat was spacious, comfortable, and in a wonderful location.....within walking distance to the West End and Prince's Street. Haymarket station is a five minute walk and bus stops even closer. -
Location was convenient to major attractions in Edinburgh--even when walking.
