  After a week in Norway going through the fjords by car ( much more scenic than by boat and not as cold ! ) we experienced three " historic hotels " the Ullensvang, the Kviknes and the Union. Of the three , the Union is the only one which is a real historic hotel. The Ullensvang is very good , has existed for years but is a brand new building. Single bed extremely cosy with luxurious mattress topper for added comfort. Staff lovely, I didn't pay my bill initially and had to return to hotel to do so.
