Up on a small hill, you have a beautiful view over the lake, and you are a bit outside but still close enough to the busy town centre. The room setup is a little old-fashioned in a positive sense (hooks on the door, coat hangers etc). Breakfast was delicious (fruits!). -

Loved how friendly the owners were and all the special touches such as the open fire in the lounge room, the hot tub, free tea/coffee, beautiful bfasts every morning. The place was beautiful, short walk I to town/lake and we were made to feel so welcome... Also liked how there was free home made cakes everyday...

Amazing place to stay. The owners were lovely, very helpful and accommodating. The food was excellent, the room was perfect and the scenery and surrounds are breathtaking. We will absolutely be staying here again the next time our travels take us to the area!

Awesome and friendly owners. Lovely rooms and great proximity to Wanaka.
The breakfasts were great with fresh fruit and nothing was a problem.
Comfy, comfy beds and the rooms were very quiet, spacious with parking

Everything was excellent, friendly, accommodating, comfortable, close enough to all surrounding attractions that Queenstown and surrounds have to offer yet a rural outlook with the associated peace and quiet. Helpful advice on things to do, places to go and dining options. Great local knowledge.

Fabulous view of the mountains, toasty warm on a chilly day and the
outdoor spa was a treat. Great location from which to walk, cycle, visit

The house is an elegant Victorian. Bedrooms are spacious and lovely, and good bathrooms and shower. Hosts are super-friendly and helpful--Sandy even washed our clothes for us, and there was a luxurious hot tub. Food was fabulous! One of our best hotel stays! -

This was a first stop on our our long journey across NZ. We have spent here 3 days and it was just perfectly fitting our needs to gather strength after 2-days flight.
At the same time we have did few unfrogettable acitvities from Wanaka as well, so the location was really perfectly fitting into our itinerary.

The friendly welcoming hosts Liz and Neil. They were very helpful with advice on activities and restaurants. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable with access to a large balcony and spa, with excellent mountain views. A fine breakfast selection was provided and other little extras, including after dinner pick up from local restaurants.

Owners were fantastic, loanded us bikes, provided food and drinks. All in all, an excellent stay. They do need to put anti-slidding material in showers as one of our people fell in the shower and was hurt quite badly.

We loved everything about this place, from the town (my husband's name is Clyde) to the room and the hosts and the dog called Mollie. We had a great time and if fortune ever takes us back to Clyde we will definitely stay here. Loved it!

The owners Carol and Ed were excellent hosts. When we arrived Carol gave
me a full orientation of the property and amenities; and provided
information on restraurants and made reservation fo rus. (+ we were
upgraded from a standard room to a cottage at no additional charge). Ed
was the breakfast host and he also provided excellent customer service

We were very pleased and highly recommend this property if you are in
the Wanaka area. -
The homely atmosphere of the Wanaka Homestead Lodge made our stay a truly relaxing one. The environment is fabulous and the Lodge compliments the surroundings well.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. And Douglas the Border Terrier added a special touch to our experience.
