This motel is rated 3 star but this doesn't really do it justice - I think it is more like a 3.5. Have stayed there twice now and would definitely return. It is close to the beach, airport and a number of good cafes, bars and restaurants. And a big thanks to the very helpful Sunday receptionist who kindly did my washing for me when I couldn't g

The rooms were well equipped with everything needed, I liked the card
access method to rooms instead of keys. Good parking and excellent
vicinity to the beach, amenities and restaurants at least a dozen within
walking distance! Excellent value for price.

We loved the old English Manor look, it was very quaint and very
appealing. Loved being able to have the big windows open in the
restuarant and the ducks on the little lake outside. Very clean and
comnfortable beds and very roomy for a studio.....we had a lovely time.
There is also a lovely English look Pub accross the road "The
Honest Lawyer"...g

Very spacious, very comfortable. Well decorated, fireplace was a plus.
Kitchen was efficient and spotless. Staff very helpful and
professional. We had a malfunctioning washing machine, and the staff
completed the laundry, bringing it folded back to me. That was beyond
the call of duty.

Great stay. Lovely spacious clean room with a view over a field. Lovely friendly staff. Had no issues with noise on the Thursday night we stayed so slept well. Easy walk into town to eat at one of many restaurants. Couldn't fault it. -

Management Justine and Nick were excellent. The hotel is good value for money and very clean. We stayed in basic double room which catered for all our needs and had large bathroom. Continental Brekkie provided downstairs in nice dining area overlooking gardens. Short walk to the beach and 10 min drive to centre of town. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

spotlessly clean. Friendly and extremely helpful proprietors. Would
recommend highly - probably the nicest accommodation we had in New
Zealand. The proprietors clearly make a huge effort to maintain high

Brilliant location, staff and willingness to help and fulfill all needs. The small things ie. 2 baggage racks and many other things well done. Clean comfortable laid out unit and very comfortable bed and pillows. Good value for money. I would definetely go back.

Awesome people looking after the place. Laid back and they leave you to do your own thing... friendly people. It's very clean and cosy and soo affordable.. pretty much just like a hotel but you just share facilities which they clean after each person showers so that's fine.. Kitchen you can cook what ever just clean up after yourself.. the usual..

Had a range of room types - we spent a little bit more money to get a private room for the two of us. It was very private, in a separate house with only one other room. It felt like staying at a hotel, and the chocolates on the pillow was a lovely touch :) Also very clean and the staff were helpful. The kitchen and lounge areas are homely and well looked after.

The owner was very cordial and helpful. The accommodations were updated and comfortable. I was very close to the ocean and town. Easy to get around. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Nelson and the Beachside was one of the reasons. I highly recommend staying here.

We really appreciated the friendly helpful service. The staff went the 'extra mile' to look after us and to make sure that we had the things we needed. They even stored our gear while we were away walking the Heaphy track. This was really helpful. Good value for money. -

Pleasant decor, huge comfortable bed, handy location for travellers without a car. Central city, library, supermarket and public transport all close. The ceiling fan was most welcome in the hot weather. Unit was well equipped and extremely clean. -
