  The zen serenity was fantastic. A lot of the boutique hotels in tulum are in a better location on the Main Street but they don't have air conditioning or indoor plumbing which ny boyfriend and i wanted for our stay.   My partner and I stayed at Mestizo for 7 days and had an incredible time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant was way beyond my expectation. We didn't expect - Great location, lovely room, very clean, the staff are exceptional, particularly Wilbur. The beach was very clean as was the rest of the property. The amenities they provided were excellent and a very welcome touch, E.G. hats, basket for our beach towels, flip flops and lots of water.   The location was fantastic. Our room, "Paz", was on the second floor directly on the beach. Obviously the view was beautiful. We had our own porch with a lounge chair and hammock. The room itself was comfortable and clean with a stylish bed that really made the room. The beach area was great with many options for lounging. Also really liked that the cabanas were far enough from the beach road that we didn't hear - The place is great, we were in the room Paz, which has a big bed and a private balcony on the beach, stunning view, amazing location and very cozy room. The restaurant is good but the portions for the price are quite small, staff at the restaurant is very friendly.
