Excellent location right next to the train station (as the name suggests). Good base for exploring charming Matsumoto. Staff are very friendly and generally have a good level of spoken English. Rooms are small but comfortable. Wifi signal was very strong in the rooms (enough to support Skype video calls). Good communal baths on the 7th floor. Woul

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The location of this hotel near the train station, made it very convenient to get to from the Shinkansen. The hotel staff were very friendly and they helped us find four of the towns free bikes so that we were able to see Matsumoto castle before it closed. The lounge next to the bar was also really nice to hang out at and have a few drinks.

Great location being walking distance from the train station and the castle with plenty of restaurants and night life nearby. We could see the castle from our room and the inclusion of a buffet style breakfast made this hotel excellent value. -

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this ryokan. The owners are
friendly and accommodating, and it really helped to have the maps
listing favorite places to eat and things to do. The location is good if
you want to see the castle, and take in an onsen at Asama. The Inn was
very clean, and our room was very comfortable. Our 8 year old loved
sleeping on the futon in our traditional room, and the ofuro was a great
cultural experience. Don't miss the delicious breakfast for a true
taste of Japan

Only 1 minute away from the train station, this hotel is fine for an overnight stay. A variety of restaurants are only a couple of blocks away, and the Matsumoto castle is within walking distance. The hotel is very close to Matsumoto JR station. It's actually opposite the station. There are many restaurants nearby. You can walk to the Castle and Art museum. The staffs speak good English. There is a wifi only in the lobby where you have breakfast. The breakfast is buffet in Japanese style. -
