  Situation géographique - We pretty much got exactly what was advertised. It wasn't much, but it was clean, comfortable and an enjoyable relief to come back to after spending the daytime being a tourist. I thoroughly recommend this hotel's cheaper suites to anyone on a budget who still wants to experience Melbourne easily and enjoyably. - Comfortable beds. Hot shower with good pressure. Friendly, helpful staff on reception. I am very impressed by the attitude and immediate response of staff on reception following the disturbance during early hours on Monday 14th November by workmen cleaning a grease trap. I am very grateful for their acknowledgment and appreciation of the inconvenience.

  Amazingly convenient if arriving by train or on the bus from the Airport. Reception staff were very friendly, room was spacious with comfortable chairs and a low table as well as a desk and chair. Bathroom excellent. It was quiet overnight and I slept very well. Buffet breakfast of a high quality. I was leaving mid-afternoon so made use of the ava... ce que les gens disent » ilable 'left luggage lockers' at the hotel, a real bonus. - I have stayed at Ibis many times and the staff are always wonderful both reception & room staff. I had a back injury this trip and when I checked in David on reception was at my room shortly after me with a bucket of ice for my back & would not accept a tip but wished me well in my recovery. These acts of kindness & excellent customer service are definitely remembered & appreciated.

  We were smack bang in the middle of the city so location was excellent. Easy walking distance to most things we were interested in visiting. I found the staff friendly and polite. My daughter visited us on this trip and we arrived back quite late one night to the Hotel and the staff were extremely accomodating in allowing her to stay the night wit... ce que les gens disent » h us, which didnt end up happening in the end. Based on this alone I would defintely stay here again. Value for money a definite. Alice's was lovely w - This hotel suited us exactly it had all we needed for a short 3 day stay in Melbourne. Close to shops theatre, art centre Fedration Square and public transport. Bed was comforable, room clean and fresh, bathroom was new with good shower and loads of hot water. The cost of a three night stay was incredably inexpensive for its central city position. Not a luxury hotel if you want spa baths etc. but most definitely a good quality hotel for travellers who want a bit more than backpacker budget hot

  The room I had - 206 - was perfect after a long tiring & emotionally draining 6 week trip overseas. The shower was best I have had anywhere - a good very strong jet of instantly hot/cold water. Provison of small fridge and coffee/tea making facilities was good and should be basic feature of standard hotel accommodation. The bed was perfect too... ce que les gens disent » … big and spacious for a tired traveller like me to stretch out and enjoy a good restful sleep. YOur reception staff were very courteous and friendly - I love this hotel. This was my second stay there. The location is fantastic, particularly if you are driving into the city from the airport like I was - easy to find. The staff are very very helpful and went out of their way to help me. The building is a little bit old and needs some small repairs, but really you can't beat this place for location and value for money.
