Fantastic staff and clean, comfortable room.

Light globes were blown think the cleaners should have fixed this before I checked in.

We loved being so close to the beach yet an easy walk to town, 2 bedroom apartment was great for our needs.

Shared en-suite and toilet. noise from pool area for teenagers bedroom.

Antiquated locks on doors - felt this was a security issue.

Very clean, staff were accommodating. Excellent location for walking around town, boardwalk etc...

We were very, very cold each night, even after using the extra blanket in the cupboard and the heater. Had to borrow a quilt and extra blanket from local friends. They need to at least provide a quilt for guests in winter. Walls were very thin so we were kept awake by neighbors each night. As hard working people, we were looking forward to three nights of rest and we certainly didn't get it.

Very noisy heater bed too soft overpriced breakfast - was charged $37 for two without an itemised account - thought it was rather expensive - wouldn't do it again needed a quilt on the bed for cooler weather have not received a receipt for payment

the owners have done simple renovations to update & modernise the look of the buildings, new modern style bedding, clean and in working order.

Very close to flight path of local airstrip with small planes & helicopters flying over!! Slightly longer walk into town than expected. quite nosiy at times.

I am a regular visitor to Merimbula because I like the Fish Pen locatin and weather in January. I chose the Black Dolphin resort because it offered all we required in accomodation, at a very fair rate. The appartment was clean, comfortable and quiet. A great view from the balcony and adequate parking. Thanks for a great stay and I hope to return again next year.

I enjoy cooking and would have liked an oven int he kitchen, but otherwise the facilities were great.

I love Merimbula, it has been my home town for many years and I was back on a business visit. I wanted to use the Black Dolphin as I can remember it being built and after all this time wanted to be able to say I had stayed there. If we had been staying longer I can see the front porch area would be lovely to use.

Not being able to check out prior to 8am on Saturday morning - we arrived late and tired, and had not encountered a motel with specific reception hours before, so was surprised when we got up early to depart, and found we couldn't. Bed was not particularly comfortable. Shower head - water mostly coming out the back of the shower head. Did report this to reception.

Its proximity to the Beach was key to staying there. The distance from town was also an enjoyable walk.

The ability to cover external street lighting from entering the room at night time created to much light in the room. The noise levels being close to the airport & main road if you are in the front units. The units were in need of updating

Nice, good location

Website indicated restaurant and bar. When checking in informed restaurant wad breakfast only. Bar wasn't mentioned and didn't look open. Sunday went for breakfast to find a sign saying. Weekends 8- 9:30. a 'resort' and breakfast didn't start until 8. Then when we came back we were told continental. No cooked breakfast either? These things neef to be made very clear on the website.

The person on reception when we arrived was abrupt and would not give us seniors discount, claimed we had a discounted rate. We feel the rate we paid was too high for the standard of accommodation. Would never recommend it to anyone. The upstairs balcony of our room was rotting and glass panel was broken. Unsafe.
