The fire-alarm went off on one occasion, firemen turned up and declared it as a false alarm, at least we felt safe.   The hotel was very comfortable and welcoming. Soft leather chairs and twinkly lights. The room was excellent with quality fittings and nights sleep. No noise at all through to the room and it was Christmas party time. Continental breakfast was really wholesome so much so that my husband didn't miss his usual cooked breakfast.
