  Great place in the middle of the centrum. Despite this, it's rather quiet and away from all the comotion from the Grassmarket. For us the location was splendid, eventhough we had a car. Place was designed very practically as well as cozy and modern. We missed nothing since the appartment is fully equipped. Cooking at home w - The self-contained apartment was beautifully appointed with luxury facilities and attention to detail with all basic provisions e.g. coffee, tea, milk croissants The location was great with walking distance to the museum,art galleries, transport restaurants and the castle. Set in a quiet, secluded close in the middle of Edinburgh this was a luxury retreat for us.

The staff were brilliant and so attentive allowing us to check in early and assigning us to a fab room. The room was spacious bright and colourful with lots of lovely added extras including free movies,mini bar drinks, robes and slippers.   It is a suite hotel less than a ten minute walk from the main Railway Station and ten seconds off the Royal Mile.   Loved the apt in general and its close proximity to everything ofimportance in regards to sightseeing and restaurants. Also, they werevery accomodating. Check out was at 1100 but our train didn't departuntil 1700 so we wanted to leave our luggage somewhere and continuetouring the city. It was very spacious - ideal for children. The location is perfect - right in the heart of Edinburgh. The staff went out of their way to assist us and were so helpful. I would thoroughly recommend St Giles Apartments and it is much better value than a hotel if you are travelling with children.
