Hotel Du Vin sijaitsee Edinburghin historiallisessa vanhassakaupungissa entisessä kaupungin turvapaikassa, ja se tarjoaa yksilöllisesti sisustetut huoneet. Hotellin sydän on ranskalainen bistro, jossa tarjoillaan tuotteita Lothianin alueelta.
Sikarisäilössä on laaja valikoima ylellisiä sikareita.
Edinburghin kuuluisa linna on 10 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä, ja Princes Streetin kaupat ovat vain muutaman minuutin kauempana.

Mitä ihmiset sanovat
The hotel was very comfortable and welcoming. Soft leather chairs and twinkly lights. The room was excellent with quality fittings and nights sleep. No noise at all through to the room and it was Christmas party time.
Continental breakfast was really wholesome so much so that my husband didn't miss his usual cooked breakfast.
Location is perfect, just down from The Elephant House cafe where my husband and I agreed to tie the knot Sixteen happy years ago. Stay you will love it !!!. kaikki arvostelut »
The hotel is an excellent example of how to restore an old building (with history) into a very comfortable & friendly place to stay. We found the staff to be very helpful & welcoming. The dinning experience in the restaurant could not be faulted.
I liked the idea of the room names (but would have liked the names to have some relation to the buildings history).
We spent 3 nights at the Hotel du Vin Edinburgh with our two little dogs
We loved the hotel, the decor, and the excellent cuisine.
With a great location right next to the best music bar in town Sandy Bells and friendly helpful staff we would love to visit again some time soon.
We would certainly the Hotel du Vin when we plan our next city break.
This is a beautiful hotel with a great atmosphere. I loved the vintage feel, and i especially loved the bathtub. This hotel has a great feel of luxury. The restaurant is also excellent. I was also very pleased with the complimentary limited wi-fi. Thanks!.
The variety of food and wine was fantastic. A very relaxed and cosy ambience to the place. Easy 5-10min walk to city centre so no need for taxis. The staff were all extremely polite and helpful. Been telling everyone to stay here!!.
Approachable and friendly staff. Clean and well appointed room. Opportunity to upgrade room at affordable price. Good food. 10-15 min walk to Princes Street. First choice of hotel for future overnight trips to Edinburgh.
Loved the location, the bars on the different levels, the food, the bedroom and the toiletries in bathroom. Loved the fact it was an old asylum in fact that's what made me pick it over other hotels. Will be back!.
1.The check-in staff were extremely friendly and helpful and allowed an early check-in (torrential rain!) with a complimentary room upgrade.
2.The "wine of the month" was lovely and worth every penny!.
The best, most romantic hotel experience I've had in 30 years. The Bistro food and service was exceptional. We had the Familia suit with roll top bath and walk-in shower - in the bedroom!.
The hotel had great rooms and the restaurant was nice. The hotel is located less than a mile from the train station with plenty of options near by for shops and sightseeing.
lovely size of room-didnt feel cramped as
in some hotel rooms. Although 4* ,it was well on a par with some 5* ,even had a nespresso machine :).
When we arrived our room had been upgraded to a suite which was beautiful. Hotel covers all bases as far as accessories supplied. A real treat to stay in.
Decor. cleanliness. friendly helpful professional staff. breakfasts were lovely and so was afternoon tea. courtyard was nice outside space to relax.
This was very nice hotel in a great location. It was clean, the bedroom was spacious with all the amenities you would want.
We've really enjoyed our staying in hotel! Restaurant - food and vines - were excellent, we liked everything, no remarks!.
free standing bath was amazing and the room was very comfortable. Room service was great and the food was also great.
We liked all of it. Just the right location for us, very comfortable and friendly and an excellent restaurant.
Besides great location the ambiance & overall design. Cozy beds & good layout considering the size.
Room was spacious and comfortable. Also quiet. Fresh milk in the mini bar. Breakfast was excellent.
Great rooms, fantastic showers, lovely atmosphere for dining. Great staff who helped with everything!.
Loved the quirky room with the bath in the bedroom. Such a nice room. Perfect location for the centre.
What a beautiful Hotel, would like to highly recommend. Excellent position and beautifully decorated.
Great location, excellent restaurant, nice decor, very confortable, and helpful, friendly staff.
The staff were extremely helpful. The meal in the bar prior to the theatre was very good.
Excellent staff, good food, querky building with character. Will certainly stay again.
Really nice room, awesome location, excellent staff, and amazing outdoor courtyard/bar.
Typically classy HduV. Good location, non-fussy, efficient staff, excellent room.

Awesome Sunday Brunch.
Room was stunning, hotel and food top quality.
Excellent restaurant and very helpful staff.
Style of the hotel, decor, staff, shower.
Quiet. Room. Location. Helpful staff.
Clean, comfortable and friendly staff.
Great service, nice relaxed ambience.
I like the good location of Du Vin.
Excellent location and foof good.
Room decor/fixtures
Bathroom.
Room very warm, that's all.
We've stayed here before and had a bigger room. Our room was facing the main road so a little noisy but the +ve far out weigh the -ves.
The fact you couldn't check in until 15.00 hrs. This is a very late check in when you have an early flight. However we did leave in bags in hotel early. Most other hotels are 14.00 hrs checkin. The breakfast was very delayed on our final day and we were very conscious of our taxi pickup (11.05) as we had a 12.55 flight.
1.The whisky snug was closed when we got back to the hotel around midnight
2.We had twin beds made into a double, but this was explained to us at check-in.
No key card for your room, but an actual key on a huge key ring. Kind of big to carry around in your pocket.
Service at breakfast was a bit of a shambles. Fair enough the fire alarm went off and we all had to assemble outside but only for 5 minutes. In all we sat for 55 minutes to get served and gave up eventually. Other guests were having to chase waiting staff to take their orders too. Experience wouldn't put us off staying at the hotel again but will probably choose not to use the restaurant facilities.
Evening meals a little expensive for portion size.
Overpriced food, poor customer service.
The only problem is lack of parking, but there is a car park near by.
Nothing really. They could have been a bit clearer about the best place to park.
The rain in Edinburgh!.
Nothing.
Nothing.
Room size, lack of outlets in bathroom for high voltage items.
Standard room was a little small.
Edge of the bed somewhat sharp, cracked my shin on that!.
No movie channels.
No spa.
No cooked breakfast in bed.
Nothing not to like.
Nothing - perfect experience.
I suppose you pay for what you get, but rooms and breakfast were expensive. Especially so when parking costs are added. We weren't too pleased that the hotel added £250 'in case of breakages' onto the tab when signing in. Unnecessary.
One small example of lack of attention to taking order at breakfast.
Some of the food was disappointing very salty frys and the rissoto
tasted of vinager. The breakfast was nice but there could have been more
of it for the price of £14.95.
Reception area needs a little more attention to warmth against cold Edinburgh days/nights.
A "comfi" Arm Chair in the Bedroom would have finished it off perfectly.
Stronger light in Bedroom preferred.
They should know more about activities & restaurants in Edinburg. Also, knowledge of exchange rate.
Nothing.
Bedroom too dark, needs additional lighting, very difficult to read in bed or at the desk.
Inadequate signposting to the bedrooms. Due to the layout it is very easy to get lost.
Bathroom was just a bit too small.
Nothing at all.
Darkness of room - very difficult to read in the evening as the lighting was so poor. Bathroom extremely small. Did not use restaurant as we refuse to pay "extra" for vegetables which we feel shold be part of the meal.
View from room was the worst I have ever had: a lead structure two feet away from the glass.
Rooms very small.
