  The hotel was beautiful, but some small things i.e. no face cloths in the bathrooms and not enough toiletries, small details. Inadequate light as you entered the room, hard to see into the safe deposit b0x. All small practical details, but would recommend they be put right.   I proposed to my fiance in Seville and spent that night at the Alfonso XIII. The conceirge was incredible. The night before the proposal, he helped arrange for flowers and cava in the room, reserved seats at a Flamenco show (and then called the theater when we were running late to hold our seats), and also helped get our bags in the room without my... mitä ihmiset sanovat » fiancee knowing. Meals were slightly expensive but worth it much higher quality than the rest of seville where food standards were very poor! Best hotel I've ever stayed in.   We thought the facilities were excellent, especially for children of varied ages. Also, the apartments were very large and all the American amenities were provided which is so rare in Europe. The classes on offer were great and we really enjoyed the gym. We selected this resort specifically because we knew it would be raining and cold and we would need something to do with the kids indoors.   Loved the design of this place. Very clean (I'm fussy!), well supplied with extras such as blankets, cot, kitchen equipment, towels etc. Toiletries were a little slim, we got just a bottle of shower gel, and no shampoos etc. It has great decor with character, and is laidy out beautifully. Cleverly laid out however, it is comfortable and the owner/manager was in contact and happy to assist - The apartment was stunning! It was located right on the front next to the beach/harbour and slept 4 (2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms). The lady previously emailed with an address of the property before we arrived and met us there for a briefing before we were left to enjoy! Apartment is in a residential block and boasts 24hr security at the front desk. Could just hop over wall to roof top pool. I understand other apartments are located elsewhere but this 1 was perfect!

A fantastic honeymoon destination - All of it. Friendly helpful staff, lovely room, well cared for ancient building and gardens, great restaurant, buffet breakfast one of the best I've had. We went in the off season - Dec 2013 so had substantial discounts. We'll go back again at this time of year. The staff also made sure we got to the Alhambra on time - the palace has strict entry times. We would have missed it without the front-desk staff organising the visit for us.

  Location: at the seaside with beautiful views. Good and large breakfast, good cuisine. We booked a studio, but when we arrived the building with the studio's was closed. We were upgraded to a junior suite with balcony and seaview. The hotel has a nice atmosphere. All the staff speak English. Despite the nearness of that highway you don't hear any of it in the hotel or in your room. A lovely place to relax a - I don't usually bother writing reviews but I feel compelled to say a few lines about El Ocean. What a great place. You can't fault it for anything, great service, amazing pool, killer views and excellent food in the restaurant. It was the perfect finish to our holiday in Europe prior to our return to New Zealand. Thumbs up to John and the team.
