  Location was excellent, a very very short walk from the Puerta del Sol. Very very very good value for the price. Place was clean, and everything worked fine. Staff was very hospitable.   This hostel is a family owned small hotel. But they hire 2 employees who cam speak good english, and very kind and helpful to guest. The location of the hotel is great. In walking distance to most sightseing place. And very near by to metro. And nearby the hotel, there is a good restaurant, serving from breakfirst to dinner. You could open french doors to street but very noisy, even at 2:00am

We didn't have a good experience at the nearby Museo del Jamon, but that was just our bad choice for breakfast.

  The proprietor/manager, Eddie Stella, was extremely helpful and accomodating. He stayed up till 2am to check us in when we were driving up from Sevilla. The location of the apartments is absolutely the best in Madrid. It has onsite parking with direct elevator access to the apartments/rooms - a rarity with many apartments in Europe.
