  A historic hotel so a great place to stay and good value.... great room and style if like us that's what you go for. But.... within the sulphur smell zone - as are most places in Rotorua. Good value for money - restaurant dinner was quality! I had made a mistake with our online booking, but the lovely lady on the desk sorted us out with no bother. Behind us was quite a grumpy customer demanding an upgrade, but the desk lady sorted everything out with no fuss. Glenis, Gyynis??

  Soups: spinach was just excellent; chowder was heavenly. probably the best soups we've had. three-appetizer option was just delicious. We tipped each chef $10 after the meal because they deserved at least that. Table service was also very good. Nice layout to the room. Shower had plenty of nice, hot water. We did not try the pool. Entir - We did a lovers delight package for our anniversary which was great. Room was very clean and well appointed. Loved the restaurant-food to die for. Couples massage was very relaxing with great service from the girls. Staff were very good especially Praveen and Emma . Definitely will return
