Overall a very good hotel. The minimum charge was around 22,000yen/night when I booked, which I first thougt was a bit expensive for a hotel away from center of Tokyo. But a friend recommended and when I stayed for 3 nights, I think it is one of the best good-value hotel I have ever been to.

Overall nice hotel. But a few points stood out. The Japanese staff were unfailingly polite and obliging. But my check-in was marred by a short Caucasian male concierge staff who cut the queue with another customer without apology. While the local staff were polite they did not hand over enough information such that I repeated myself three times about my Michel Troisgros booking. Access to pool and gym should not be restricted to Passport members but all guests!

Spacious rooms, free router (wifi) in the room upon request. The hotel exudes luxury but the rates are not as high as the Ritz Carlton's. Compared to other Five star hotels in Tokyo that I have stayed in, Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo is the best so far. It has a wonderful and convenient location, a luxurious and comfortable room. The service levels were the best, every staff catered to my every problem, they even accompanied me to the train station to help me out.

Excellent service by the staff. Especially at the concierge. We missed our airport limosine and got a full refund from the concierge. I was beyond shocked. We booked a room for triple occupancy. The room 1869 was really huge for Japan standard. We had a nice view too. Room was spotlessly clean and location was really central. Lots of cafe, restaurants and convinience stores nearby. Staff was really helpful. Convenient as free shuttle to Disneyland was provided and tours can be booked in the lobby.
