  We stayed twice in Helga Guesthouse - at the beginning and end of our trip to Iceland. It is very clean and very well organised, the kitchen has everything you might need and the owner keeps it spotless. Our room was spacious and cosy. The owner is extremely helpful and went out of his way to my our stay a good experience. He is also a taxi driver - Herman, the owner, is incredibly kind, helpful, and warm. We arrived at 1:30am, and he took the time to show us how the bus system worked, maps of the city, and main attractions. He helped us find restaurants, and figure out organization for day trips. He even knows all of the cool ipad apps that tell you bits of information that help for getting around Reykjavik.   I loved Afla Guesthouse! The rooms are comfortable, the house is easy to find, and the owner made us feel very welcome. She made us breakfast in the morning, and it was great to be able to sit down and talk to her over breakfast, to find out more about the city and what we should see. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Reykjavik (which I hope is soon)! - The owner was extremely helpful and friendly, she woke up at 5 am to make early breakfast for us (we had an early flight to catch) and was very helpful in finding stuff in the city.

  I'd like to start by saying what wonderful owners the couple who run Smáragata Rooms are. They are very friendly, welcoming and will do their very best to accommodate your (reasonable) needs. The property is in a sleepy, quiet residential street but is by no means in a bad location - infact, it's excellent. The bsí bus station is literally around the c - Iceland was fantastic! The countryside was unique, and we especially enjoyed the Golden Circle tour, and the Blue Lagoon. Our Smaragata 1-bedroom apartment with kitchenette and private facilities was close to the city bus terminal, and an easy 10-15 min walk to the city and major attractions. The owners were friendly and very helpful.

  -great location in the middle of city, on top of little hill, easy access to either side of the city, to museums and main bus station on one side as well as main shopping street, the big famous church, groceries, water side on the other -nicely comfy room, with amazing cozy smell of wood :) -fully equipped kitchen for your mastery in the kitchen -... mitä ihmiset sanovat » very effective communication with the owner, everything went nice and smooth -great value for money - Due to a flight change and then a delay we arrived very late (about 1am). This was no problem for the staff which we very much appreciated. There is a kitchen where you can cook which gives great flexibility and saves a bit of money. Excellent value, good wifi and great location. Also Konrad makes the best pancakes!

  I think it is not easy to find such a good hotel in the center of Reykjavik. The hotel is just beside the church, very convenient, quiet and clean. Three rooms share a bathroom, I think it was not a problem especially not in peak season. They provide shampoos, towels, etc. The breakfast is excellent, including many choices.
