Annesdale is close to the train station and an easy walk to shops and restaurants in Windermere. The hosts of Annesdale are very friendly. We appreciated that they gave us (and our luggage) a ride to the train station. The beds are comfortable and we enjoyed our own sitting room and garden complete with a table to enjoy a quiet time outside. -

Friendly owner (Ian) rang us before our arrival on the day and met us as we arrived even though it was late. I stayed there for 2 nights with my frd. Ian and Lynn were very friendly and helpful. The room and the en suite bathroom are super comfortable and clean. The breakfast is also good.
The hotel locates in a tranquil block just besides a brook and is about 10 minutes walk from Windermere railway station & bus stop. To me it was not too far and there are many good gift shops on the way from the station to the hotel.
The guest house was one of the factor that makes my stay in the Lake District

Great welcome and comfortable room. Exceptionally good breakfasts - well cooked and served. Good attention to detail. Very short walk along the road to Windermere shops and restaurants. The 7 pound bus will take you to the lakes - stops at end of road. We went up to Grasmere to see Dove Cottage, Wordsworth's beloved home. We asked about doing some washing and it was done overnight. The Location of Parsonage House is really good being just outside of Windermere and Bowness and within walking distance of one of the best pubs in the Lake District. The friendliness and hospitality of the hosts made our visit just like being at home. We were greeted by the owner who was very lovely and friendly and showed to our room. The hotel is really nice, excellent rooms, very clean, great shower. The breakfast was lovely and served by very friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone. -

Extremely comfortable, quiet and spotless clean accommodation. The single room with the bathroom was just amazing, warm, cosy and the perfect place to go back after a long walk. View of the mountains from the window in the morning is a great start, as well as the breakfast. Howard is a very nice and kind host. Definitely will come back ! -
