I checked in early evening and was greeted well by the Managers, then taken straight to my room. They made a real effort to accommodate me and always with a smile. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. My Executive room was very clean, tidy and quite large for what I had expected. I had evening Dinner at the restaurant which was very good val

The staff were very attentive and made us feel very welcome - even though they were very busy with the restaurant and bar area.The evening meal we had on the Friday evening was excellent. We will be booking the Millgate House Hotel again for our visit to Newark next year for the Vintage Tractor Show.

We had a very pleasant stay with a lovely country walk from the house, no traffic noise at all and comfortable room with good facilities. We had the Hayloft room with four poster bed and corner bath. -

A tastefully decorated charming hotel. Food was well presented and very nice. Staff were friendly informative and attentive. Rooms were especially spacious with excellent quality fittings. Pure luxury some five star hotel could learn from this place. -

The room and the house are very smart in a traditional style. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room lacked nothing. The staff are charming and the service is nearly faultless. Dinner was a delight with (very) local produce. Just wish that our vegetable garden looked like the one here! -

great local and only a short walk away from the main town centre and at the same time was off the main roads so noise was at a min.. - Great location, only a five minute walk from the centre of town. The room had everything one would need for an enjoyable stay, the beds were very comfortable.
