  Our second visit to the Bramley Apple, again staying overnight for a local 2 day event. The hosts have changed since last year, but were just as welcoming, helpful & friendly. In fact, a handshake over the bar on arrival does make you feel like a guest, not just a customer. Ours was good value, - The whole experience from start to finish was great. The land lord of the pub has only been there since January and made us feel so welcome. We went for an evening horse racing meet and he was kind enough to offer to take us back in the morning to collect our car. The young man behind the bar was very friendly and coudlnt do enough to help us. Breakfast was a good home cooked fry up with plenty of tea and coffee to go with it.

  A courtyard room which was spacious, very clean and a lovely big bathroom which included a bath as well as a shower. We had booked a double room only that morning and a lady very kindly rung us to say there was a problem with the heating so would a twin room be alright, which we accepted. Apparen - The Lord Nelson was a great place to stay with friendly, helpful staff and the food was lovely. We couldnt finish the evening meals or the breakfast despite the high standard.
