  The welcome and friendliness of our hosts, nothing was to much trouble. Our ensuite room was extremely comfortable with not only luxury essentials to hand, but also cake too. The beautiful lounge to relax in with had a good choice of up todate magazines and chocolates. Plenty of choice for breakfast. And we couldn't forget Miffy the sheepdog, who liked nothin - We stayed for 3 nights in November and found this to be a lovely hotel - very comfortable, lovely and warm (easily adjusted and efficient heating), spotlessly clean, beautiful view (we had a front room), excellent shower with plenty of hot water. Plenty of attention to detail. The breakfasts were a treat and Mark who served them is a gem. You can walk over the hill to Ambleside, or onto the local fells without going on the road, so excellent for walkers. We would definitely use this hotel aga
