We arrived with our son who is wheelchair bound , and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. She even sent his breakfast up to him on a tray!!! FANTASTIC....The building couldnt have been more central!! All in all, a fantastic budget place to stay in Edinburgh. The owner should be very proud , they do a fantastic job, we loved our stay here.

Morag (the owner) was VERY nice and courteous. She greeted us warmly and seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing each day and how we were enjoying Scotland. Also, her breakfast was great and always waiting. Meats, cheeses, huge croissants, choice of cereals and juices.

I stayed for one night at the Edinburgh Townhouse, and the single room with ensuite was very comfortable. The Townhouse is about a 20 minute walk from Edinburgh, Waverley Rail Station, and situated on castle Street, just off Princes Street. I enjoyed a tasty, continental Breakfast in the morning.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean, and I was able to make use of all the facilites easily. - Staff were most helpful. The Elder York Guest House is a lovely place to stay in Edinburgh! The location is excellent, walking distance to all attractions. There are road works going on, but these won't interrupt your stay and should be over soon. Great location and convenient for pubs cafes, shops and sight seeing.
Our room situated at the back was quiet and we had a good night's
sleep. Very helpful and cheerful receptionists. The fire-alarm went off
on one occasion, firemen turned up and declared it as a false alarm, at
least we felt safe. We will book again in the near future. -
