The staff here are so friendly, and really went out of their way to make our stay very nice. We had a car with us, and they found us a garage spot (in with their car maybe?), got us bikes to ride one day, and were very friendly and helpful in general, thoughthe woman there most often speaks only a little English. water, western toilets, a big room, and great (softest bed I've
slept on in Thailand). It's right on the bank of the Mekong r and
Laos (though most rooms do not). The owners are friendly and helpful,
and the wifi is great.

Pretty luxurious, especially for Nong Khai. Loved the stay.
Also, we - like most - were passing through on our way to Bangkok so we spent the day in Nong Khai before taking a night train. White Inn actually has a pretty nice shower that people can use even though they've already checked out...a nice added bonus for us backpackers. -

It would have been a great place to stay, but there was a massive construction project basically in the hotel common area that went on from 8am to 8pm, which was incredibly noisy and blocked the entire river view. The location and the wonderful garden. To fully appreciate the place one should probably have a kind of hippy inside, or enjoy being able to stay there long time on low budget.
For me it was a good experience to stay there a couple of days and to be reminded of, how it was to travel, when you were -quote Hemingway - very young, very poor and very happy.

I have never been to any hotel that had such a helpful and friendly staff. After I told them that I wanted to go to BKK by train they took me by motorbike to the train station to by a ticket and later brought me there with all my luggage. All that free of charge!
Close to the border and train station. -

New hotel, clean room, nice staff, good pool, delicious and cute breakfast.
The hotel owner drive there in the morning prepare breakfast &welcome us at night.

Brand new was only open 1 month when we arrived. Everything was spotless. Beautiful swimming pool, hotel overlooks a massive lake covered in Lilly's, and is surrounded by rice paddies. Very peaceful and quite.
