The location was right where you would want to be to visit all of Washington DC's monuments/museums, etc. We were able to walk to everything between the Capitol and the Lincoln Monument. The staff was awesome and extremely friendly. The hotel was very clean and was far more luxurious than I expected. The hotel is a great bargain for the money paid per night. Seemed like "luxury" meant charging $5 for a can of diet coke instead of actual luxury with access to amenities not otherwise found at the average hotel. I've stayed around the world for the same price and had a lot more benefits associated with my stay. It was a lot of money to pay for a standard hotel room; not extra large, nothing special. I feel like I paid $100 more than a room like this should cost. nothing. When I tried to add an extra day, JW Marriott wanted to increase the price I already had on the other 3 days as well, so they lost my business for the extra day because I stayed somewhere else for that night. The difficulty of connecting to wifi The room was a bit small&warm. Nothing. It was expensive then the rest of the hotels beside us like the w hotel was half the price better room I had to change, no privacy in the room the walls r so thin u can here anything from the next room. The value wasn't there for me. The room was not any different than a room at a budget hotel like Country Inn, 2 full size beds in a medium size room with no view for $300 a night is pricey. I realize I am paying for the location, but the room was no different for any other hotel chain. Room seemed a little stuffy ( humid ) all the time. Parking fees were too high... $50 per day plus tips is a bit much... When are hotels going to realize that making you pay for internet in addition to room rate causes irritability especially in luxury hotels .I now wont book a hotel unless no other availability when having to pay separately for internet.its 2013 not 1980 internet is like bed (a necessity).Just work out a divisor and include it i every room rate.If motels can do it so can 5 * venues. Had to wait more than half an hour for our car (valet parking), was very unorganized. Rollaway bed was very uncomfortable, springs came right through the mattress. Concierge service was very disappointing, verging on rude.
