The Inn was beautiful, but economical for the region. We enjoyed the quieter aspect of the Tiburon area versus San Francisco, yet it was so easier to drive to down town SF. Everything about the Inn was delightful. The rooms were large and the beds extremely comfortable. First floor rooms had a small private patio and upper floor rooms had bay windows which was the hallmark of the San Francisco area, in my opinion. The restaurant was excellent and staff made it even more so. I hope to return on.
all reviews » Lovely Belvedere room with view over the pool. Came back here at the end of our road trip for 2 nights. It's an oasis of calm and less touristy than, say, Sausolito. No nightlife worth speaking of but the hotel bar is lively during Happy Hour through early evening. We took the ferry across to SF, which was nice, but the cost is 11 dollars pp each way, so you could drive in and park for less. Lovely hotel over all. Reception staff where the best, very friendly, gave out great information on where to eat, Italian reasturant was a great choice. We had too upgrade to balcony room on second night as your description was misleading they do not have any kingsize rooms with balconys. They did this free off any extra charge, and gave us a $50 voucher to use in their resturant. So thank you tiburon lodge for that. Arrived just as restaurant was closing after a 17 hour journey and they stayed on to make us a meal. These things are very welcome and much appreciated. Room was lovely but should have had a balcony. We mentioned this and got a refund no problem. We weren't here long enough to comment further, but have booked 2 more nights at the end of our trip. The location is ideal for visiting San Francisco and the coastal park areas. The ferry connection is great for day trips to San Fran and then returning to the quiet Tiburon area for a great dinner and quiet relaxtion on the outside terrace. One of the great stops in SF is the Ferry Building. king-sized beds were extremely comfortable, deluxe rooms incredibly spacious and well appointed, ideally placed for local restaurants, good views of the bay and San Francisco, very good food in the hotel bar / breakfast room. Great location in the beautiful town of Tiburon. It was an easy drive into San Francisco yet gave us the relaxation of being out of the city in the evenings. The hotel has been recently renovated and looks great. - Super comfy bed - Great sunloungers and furniture outside the pool - Our evening meal at the Tiburon Tavern was outstanding - Lovely modern decor and furnishings - Outside space really well done. Hotel was very comfortable, rooms were spacious and functional, beds and pillows great. Public spaces warm and inviting. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Restaurant had good pub/bistro food. My husband and I had a lovely stay at The Lodge at Tiburon. We were in a newly refurbished room which was beautiful with a very comfy bed. Great facilities and only a 30min drive to San Fran. We truly enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and was child friendly. The outside terrace was great for our kids to play outside. Overall our experience here was very much.enjoyed. Now nothing after this accounting nightmare. We were pleased. Now we will never stay there again. Likewise we will not refer to friends. Very nice modern room, lots of space, real glasses for drinking, reasonable prices for food and drink. Our Tv did not work, however the maintenance man who came to exchange the TV was especially nice and helpful. He was the only thing enjoyable about this hotel. The Lobby, Patio and Bar were very nice. The grounds were manicured with alot of greenery.. Location. I smoke, and you can't have a cigarette within 25 ft of the hotel!. The walls of this hotel are so thin you can hear people talking, I would go as far as to say even breathing. Upgrade felt like a punishment, as room was at front off building and with road and outside bar / resturant noise. If you stay here ask for a room at back. Resturant was very slow we waited after beening seated, for 45 minutes before a waiter came. the proximity of some other rooms presented a late night noise problem. Our first room on the 3rd floor shared a door with the next door neighbor. This door had a wide gap at the bottom which meant our neighbors could hear everything and we had to be very quiet. This is a basic issue that should not have been overlooked by the lodge. Some hotels even use 2 doors to buffer sound when rooms can be made adjoining. The service at breakfast at the Tiburon Tavern was shockingly slow. It was hugely understaffed with one waiter doing the whole area! Very frustrating and easily fixed by just having more staff!. Nothing. There was nothing we didn't like. The beds. They were not very.comfortable. What is this 60 dollar charge for incidentals? They have my credit card number, why do they need to take $60?? We didn't use anything. How long does cost accounting take. The man at the front desk says it will still be there for another 3 days. This is a crap way of doing business. Need a lighter quilt/blanket for the summer months. Noisy room location, did not accommodate simple request for chocolates. Unfortunately it was impossible to control the shower, it was either scalding hot or too cold!!. none. Very high price. Can't think of anything. So far from SFO. Room furniture was banged up. Shades were held together with white medical tape. Took away from ambiance. Another guest's bar/restaurant signed bill was charged to our room. The only negative part, the bathrooms have no counter space. It would be perfect if you had that. Staff at checking not terribly pleasant. She seemed annoyed with us, for some reason. Never interacted with any other staff. bit pricey for where you are. room looked over dining area. They gave us the handicapped room. Wi Fi internet access speed was pathetic and in some case non existent in rooms away from reception. Paper thin walls meant noise from traffic and other guests was amplified. I advise patrons to carry ear plugs which is now standard travelling equipment for me in the USA. The USA obviously does not know about brick and concrete construction for hotels for guest comfort and peace and quiet. The room had a musty damp smell when you entered. We sprayed the room with febreeze and it helped to tone down the smell. No robes like the toll house. The outside exposure. Didn't feel as safe as a more secure enclosed hotel. No shelf space in the bathroom for makeup and hairspray, deodorant etc,. Waited forever for waitress at outside bar. Eventually had to go in to find one, even though the staff saw us and kept walking by. A bit overpriced, even if we were happy with the room and the lodge. No parking we had to park far on the street and all they could say was sorry we are really busy today!!! Even for Hotel guest can't get Parking Had to wait for over 3 hrs to make reservation for dinner The restaurant don't pick up the phn keep on goin to voicemail till we had to go downstairs and that is when they told us they are 100% booked and we had to wait for almost three hrs to get a table. I could hear all kinds of people talking in hallways,in their rooms and could even here the people upstairs having sex. The food at restaurant was poor. Our TV did not work. The rooms are overpriced, small and Old. For what they charge, you should have a Suite.... Like old hotel rooms that had beatiful grounds and a nice bar/restaurant built around it... Awful... Never again. Close to Shops/Resturants/Water.
