Rooms are really clean and nice and it gave me a very homely feel. The staff are very nice as well and there is an IHOP diner located just beside it which is not expensive at all. I will definitely recommend this hotel to other guests if they need to find a place to stay in San Diego. Location is near Sea world but of course it is not within walking distance but just a 10 min drive will be enough. There are many different restaurants and walgreen around the motel vicinity as well.
all reviews » My friend & I both loved the convience of having a separate bedroom/ livingroom. The closeness to Mission Bay, & fast food restaurants. We both liked the fact there was a microwave & refrigerator. There were also grocery stores nearby. Our family has stayed at this hotel before. It is right next door to I- hop which is the boys' favorite restaurant for breakfast. We like the location and price. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was clean, affordable, within walking distance of markets and restaurants, good standard amenities. The location was great. Lots of places to shop and eat and very close to beach and freeway. Although it was showing its age, it was generally an excellent accmodation for the price. Liked the price and the friendly staff. They were very helpful. I like the central location of the hotel and the cleanliness. It was a simple place with a great price!. The room comes with a microwave and refrigerator, which, unfortunately was not turned on when we arrived. The best part is that it's located minutes away from Sea World. Nothing - cancelled the remainder of our time there and went to motel 6. That fact that it was close to sea world. In a word nothing. Nothing. Room might be a little small for families but for solo travelers and couple, it will do just fine. The smallness of the bathroom, the fact that bathroom counter was crowded with too much stuff. It was hard to not trip coming in & out of the main door- lip too high. Everytime we went bathroom, we hit the doorknob. Breakfast was ok - except the fact that there were flies on the pastries- open door. The beds were a little on the hard side & very uncomfortable. Things have deteriorated since our last visit. Pool and Jacuzzi were out of order---the boys bought new bathing suits just so they could swim in the pool--- they were very disappointed. The bathroom floor was dirty. It is across the street from a strip club in an area that has quite a few strip clubs. When we returned to the motel at 2AM, we were followed into the parking lot by two young guys who crossed the street from the strip club. We turned the car around passing the two guys who were motioning at us. We returned 30 minutes later without incident. During the day, the area was no issue at all. Pool & hot tub were out of service. My only objection was the carpets and sofas (especially the arms) need to be steam cleaned. They were pretty grimy. Vacuuming alone is not enough. The exterior should be kept cleaner. Lots of trash... First impressions count. I didn't like the staff not knowing how to fix the coffee machine or how to connect to the internet. Two different night attendants couldn't help me and their excuse was I'm just the night person. The breakfast options (only pasties) Bagels 2 days out of 4. No yogurt, oatmeal or anything else remotely healthy. Breakfast was so so. breakfast is too easy~. Pool was closed. Was charged excessive security deposits for each of our three rooms of witch only one was cleaned for the second days stay. Had to request clean towels after maid service removed the used ones and didn't even clean the restrooms, change the linens or make up the beds ????? Very noisy location across the street from local strip bar/club. Breakfast was 7-9am...finish too early and very basic. No microwave to heat up food, no toast also. They use a lot of styrofoam cups. Outer appearance of motel definitely needs upgrade. Staffs not very welcoming or friendly. The building Looks Old I think it needs to be painted. The Continental breakfast área too small?. Rooms need to be updated. Crammed parking lot. Dirty carpets. TV was awful. Towels were like the ones you save to wash your car. Strip club across the street. Styrofoam cups were dirty. no first floor rooms. The motel is showing its age. Hearing the airplanes all night. A little far away from central San Diego. Hot tub out of order. very poor breakfast. quality of room. The location is not in the best area (strip club across the street) but it was kind of centrally located. Really ignorant and unfriendly staff, brakfast was under poor quality, room was dark, small and just with all the basicks. Many girl joints around. Wouldn´t walk here during the dark hours. They shouldnt even mention that they have a pool. Ridicilous. Only a few parking spots. Breakfast?? Seriously, it was semi-hot coffee and a muffin. Barely what i describe as breakfast. The hot tub smelled like rotten water and it stunk our clothes. Room to small. Too much money for that hotel. lights and age and bad towels. not so clean, poor breakfast in a very small room. security should be improved. Area. Didn't feel safe . You get what you pay for . We stayed 5 days at 56$ a night - had we paid more I would've been upset . If your looking for a " pretty " room and a place to kick back and relax .. This is not for you. Bugs in the orange juice tap Pool and spa were closed Thin window and heard noises all night long poor selection of breakfast food. Musty smell, sketchy neighborhood, water took 10 mins to get hot, shower towels were rough and way too small. pool was closed.. The mold in the corners of the bathroom. The dirty carpets and the hot and musty smelling room that forced you to leave the AC and Fan on all night. Very hard to sleep and be comfortable in that environment. Half of what they advertise is not true... Or comes incomplete, only part of the pool is functional, breakfast consist of coffee and sweet breads only, Wi-Fi worked 1 out of 4 days... Booking stated we could check in between 1000-1100 hrs. When we arrived were told we could not check in until after 1500 hrs. &Quot;Free" breakfast was gone (empty) when we checked on it. The shower did not work- had to move all if our stuff to a new room to shower in the morning. Towels were big enough for a 2 yr old. Not at size adult. The breakfast was a joke- should not advertise that there is a continental breakfast. There were no plates or forks. The scones, or whatever they were tasted like a rock. The juice was watered down. We ended up eating at the IHOP next door. I didn't like the gentleman that I dealt with at the front desk. He was rude, unaccommodating, unhelpful, and made things a hassle. Where do I begin?! Guests checking in must drive all the way to the rear of the bldg to park, then walk back to check in. The staff is not helpful at all. The sheets had huge holes torn into them! The toilet had issues. The list goes on! The worst part is that I booked this room so that my kids and I could eat before going to Sea World. Well, all that was available was a few packaged muffins and some juice. Needless to say, I ended up spending a fortune on food at Sea World :/. 1. Barbara (receptionist) not at all good customer serivce. 2. air condioner quit working 3. too tiny and not clean (dirty washcloth in bathroom) 4. "continental breakfast" was offered 7-9 am was gone when we got there at 7:40am in a very tiny room 5. pool not working 6. EVERYTHING will never go back or recommend. Simple things you expect that would be available like the ice machine not working. The pool and jacuzzi dirty. And the breakfast ridiculous too say the least. It sucked the staff was rude nuff said oh yea dirty dirty place looks nothing like the picture s. Dont stay here again.
