What people say
History, decor, ambiance and central location were fabulous. It was a home from home-like a luxury British hotel in the historic center of Philadelphia. Within walking distance of all the historic attractions and interesting residential areas of old Philadelphia. Also easy access to see the Flyers,Eagles or Phillies at the sports complex[by subway] Would certainly be back again.

Historic, quaint, clean, renovated downtown district hotel. Unlike the new commercialized hotels. A place you would want to spend a few days. It's is a place you definitely tell your friends about. I was there for a medical appointment. Would like to go back to stay longer.
The best hotel for whole our trip! Very beautiful and old-fashioned. You'r going to plunge into 19th century in this hotel! Amazing breakfast room! Ideal place to see Phila! (Parking just across the street - they have a little discount for it).
This is a hotel boutique, small, of high quality, in an old and historical building carefully restored. The location is perfect to visit the city. Don’t miss the restaurant, the food is very good, make with care and creativity.
Very charming and historic place. We had a suite with kitchen and it was very comfortable.
Waldeburt checked us in and remembered we were there for the Stones concert. Very pleasant.Warm welcome. helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Afternoon tea in courtyard. Restaurant in courtyard lovely. Easy walking distance from historical sites and shops. Full of character.
The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. My room was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. Having a refrigerator in the room was great for the entertaining I did.
The ambiance of an 18th century design in a perfect location near Independence Park and city life. The continental breakfast, 3pm cookies and 5pm wine added to the experience.
The staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating, their response to requests was prompt, informative and courteous. They allowed privacy yet were very attentive.
Everything.
The rooms are beautiful and clean.
The staff is wonderful and very helpful.
The location is excellent.
We enjoyed very much our stay at the Morris House.
Simply put, I liked everything - this is a superior hotel offering first class accomodations at a very reasonable price. The restaurant was excellent.
The young woman who was at the desk when we arrived was so friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is charming.
Very high service-level (e.g.: they sat up breakfast before required so we could eat before we had to leave). Very few rooms and good atmosphere.
The staff was fabulous! Kara and Walbert were polite, over-the-top helpful, and friendly. We can not say enough about them!.
Very comfortable rooms, overall good design, fine restaurant, good service, location just off Washington Square.
This is an outstanding place to stay! Definitely, worth every penny. Will go back soon! Simply outstanding.
a small boutique type hotel. Very quaint and historic place. A great experience. Very cool.
My second stay at the hotel, love it. Very unique historical hotel in the old city center.
Hotel's character and ambience
with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff.
The historic aspect, the excellent staff, the romantic atmosphere and
the location.
Great Atmosphere in a historic building, very friendly and helpful staff.
The history of the hotel and location. Also your restaurant was great.
The history of the house is what made me choose the Morris house.
beautiful building. very friendly staff. delicious breakfast.
The location, the beauty of the house, the charm of it.
The room was great.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Location was perfect and Lenka was so helpful.
Everything was absolutely perfect.
Everything was outstanding.
Very large spacious room.
Great location.
The history of the building.
I didn't stay but one night, arrived late so I didn't get to enjoy all that it had to offer. Note: Not a bad mention, but a mention none the less. You need to appreciate the age, history, etc. of this hotel to enjoy staying there. It is a renovated old hotel.
It would be awesome if there was a pamplet that covers the historic aspect of the property. Waldeburt (not sure of the spelling) was great about pointing out historic interests about the property.
If someone has a lot of bags (we didn't) they would find the stairs an issue. Nothing!.
There is nothing that I didn't like.
No elevator
The room could have used at least one COMFORTABLE chair.
Our bed was not as firm as we like.
Are you going to paint the fireplaces? I hope so. They are beautiful!.
No coffee facilities in bedroom.
Faucet in tub/shower not working properly so had difficulty
regulating water temperature.
During times of bus traffic the building was vibrating (did not bother me as it did not occur at night).
Branches knocking on the windows were a bit annoying. May need a pruning.
The room lacked space to relax and be comfortable.
First time ever we stayed in an advertised B&B and did not have a cooked breakfast. That was a huge disappointment, especially the price we paid, and one that would cause us not to come back. We frequent B&Bs all the time and had plans of bringing friends there at the end of summer, but will pick another place because the breakfast. Just don't understand that when there's a restaurant next door. Also paying for parking. 50% off would have been better.
Parking is very expensive.
Noisy A-C unit on roof top.
Breakfast could improve but was passable.
Nothing.
TV was difficult to operate. Breakfast was perfunctory, although coffee was excellent. Parking was expensive.
The food. Not very good, expensive, and breakfast is a joke! Room was small, dusty, there were things that definitely needed updating.Tthere is no sound barrier either, so you can hear everything, even downstairs!.
