The location and the view! We stayed on the 11th floor with easy access to the roof. Absolutely amazing! Yes the room is small but its New York! And at this price point are you expecting a lavish Central park villa? Lol. The location states SoHo but its really more ChinaTown but its still a great location with food all around you! $2 pizza a block north, home made dumplings 1/2 block north. And only a 5min walk into SoHo/ Little Italy! 5Min walk to 2 subway stations that take you right into the.
all reviews » I loved everything about this hotel! It is in great location on lower east side easy to hop a subway everywhere. The staff is amazing helpful. Anthony even took his time when he got off work one evening to show my friend and I around the city and walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.. They was all very friendly and helpful booking car for trip back to penn station giving directions.. Love the place decorations was so nice rooms comfortable and clean.. Will stay here every trip to nyc. Very very friendly and helpfull staff, polite, informative and patient. The hotel is like an oasis in this part of town, clean, refreshing and comfortable, its relatively small but that ok, I was able to walk to 9/11 in 30 mins or so but stopped to take photos of the Supreme Court and surrounding buildings. Its close to other areas and some good restaurants. Loved my stay here and will book again. the staffs are very friendly and gave me a lot of helps. besides, some of the staffs can speak madarin and it is easy to communicate with them and seek help. also the location is good for chinese and it is convenient to go to chinatown to have various chinese food. also the lobby has a very attractive decoration and i like it very much and think can not be found in other hotels. The staff were fantastic! Friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and modern. Not a large room but it met our needs. The price was fair. Not really in SOHO, more like Chinatown . However bars and restaurants within a couple of blocks. Subway station just maybe two blocks from hotel. We were very happy with our stay. We stayed 6 nights. The front desk staff were wonderful, attentive and more than willing to assist in figuring out transport options, restaurant picks and printing tickets etc.. The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean and modern. The location was ore China Town than soho but it had good access to subway. We felt safe walking around the hotel at night. The Staff were so helpful, so friendly and couldn't have done enough for us. The Hotel was modern, new, and clean. The location was perfect - near to subway stations for getting uptown and far enough downtown to walk to Little Italy, the Financial District etc. The price was extremely good for such a nice, clean, well located nyc Hotel. At a push to find something I didn't like, the only thing I would have to say is the rooms were a little on the small side but that shouldn't bother anyone visiting to see New York as like us you'll hardly spend any time in it and the decor/cleanliness and service more than makes up for the room size. We were delighted with this hotel and would recommend it thoroughly, provided visitors were happy with using subway to get to other areas if necessary (quick and easy) or enjoyed exploring on foot, which we loved doing. I don't think there was anything I didn't like! This new hotel did have small rooms so space was limited for some standard things. The rooms are very close together on each floor and each morning other guests allowing their doors to loudly bang shut woke us up-not everyone wants to get up at the same time! If they could just put door stoppers on the door to stop them banging shut, this would greatly improve the noise problem. I would like more space...but this is NYC, so it is hard to compare to other hotels in other cities. You pretty much have to get out of the immediate area for any big choice of restaurants, shops, etc, so the location isn't ideal if you like to walk out and be right in the middle of the action. It can also be quite noisy when trains pass by but we're not light sleepers so it didn't really disturb us. Also just a minor point but I mentioned on our second day to the reception staff that we were having trouble with our TV but no-one ever followed up on it. But then again I didn't either. The surrounding area can be quite dirty and you might not get a positive first impression of Manhattan. nothing. Lack of knowledge by staff of restaurants or eateries in close proximity especially for a woman arriving in the evening when dark and not wanting to walk too far on her own in a strange city. The room was quite small but, given the low price, not ridiculously so. Small rooms, but it is New York. Very clean and comfortable though. The location is not the best in Manhattan,but you have a subway station very near. The room (203) was very close to the stairs and the noise from the door to stairwell B disturbed us if there were late night revellers. The breakfast could have been fresher. Room was a little small but to be expected in NYC No cupboard space so not great for longer stays Noisy at times due to traffic and trains. The breakfast cereals were all too sweet. Would be good to have some non-sweetened muesli or granola as an option. Nil. location of hotel was in area was not clean (china town) do not plan to take break fast , very tiny space. - Location is a bit sketchy. As every hotel in nyc the rooms are small but expensive. Chinatown is good for nice food, but the streets are a bit dirty, although it didn't feel unsafe. The phone's alarm rang alone by itself 2 times. Bath-tub a little small but ok. -nothing. Internet connection was slow. Located in chinatown, so neighborhood is crowded and smelly. The area around the hotel. Breakfast. The location is somewhat secluded from major attractions. Couple of nice bars, though. room very small. roll-in shower flooded the bathroom every time we used it. location not very convenient. Billed as Soho but actually almost at the entrance to the Manhattan Bridge. breakfast was very carb heavy, could use some eggs :-). This hotel is not in SoHo. It's right in the middle of china town. And it is very tiny. Since the floors were so small, there were people talking outside of my room every morning, very early and woke me up. You can hear EVERYTHING. no bike rack. sheets a little dirty. got many bug bites during the night. Small room Poor location, unless you want to be close to Chinatown.
