This hotel is chic, centrally located, well run and very comfortable. The decor is wonderful, the breakfast is delicious if expensive, and the lounge area is a great place to "come home to" after a day out. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definately return. Home a way from home feeling. Everyone was friendly, helpful and a lovely enviroment to return to at the end of a working day.

It was not a cheap hotel and did not warn people so they could chose,.However when we explained we did not like it they moved us the next day. The only minor point was the fact that I could not use Maestro which is widely accepted in NY to pay my bill, so I ended up paying in cash Thanks,. a bit warm room at night. The airconditioning system was quite noisy.smallest bathroom in the world ever!!!!!. i have not used internet WI FI then why i had to pay extra money for access. it should be optinonal and control by password. heat in the room had a problem, extra charges not mentioned in the reservation confirmation were added (but still it was worth it). fitness equipment was outdated, fitness centre was small and cramped, television was small for it's location from viewing position. Air conditioning very noisey. To be honest nothing really bad to say about the hotel.Would have liked tea or coffee making facilities in the room. room rate was higher than i was expecting ,after i had booked with booking.com. I had to change room. I would have liked a bit roomier room. heating, lack of complementory items. Price. I thought the room would have a coffee maker of which most rooms in the City do.The bathroom is small, but equipped well. double beds were against the wall so you could only get in one side. Internet speed was intermitant on wireless but good on LAN cable. Bed was saggy and room was too hot.One of the two elevators was not working for most of one day. The rooms are smaller and a bit stuffy- air circulation was not great. As other guests commented, heating system was noisy and we turned it off during the night in Dec. The room got quite cold but their nice comforter helped.

Go north on the New Jersey Turnpike (Interstate 95 North) to the exit signs for the Lincoln Tunnel. Follow directions into the Lincoln Tunnel (pay toll). Upon exiting the tunnel stay/bear left - this is Dyer Avenue. Turn right onto 42nd Street (follow Newark directions).

*Triboro Bridge:
Exit onto the Triboro Bridge (pay toll). Bear to the left "Manhattan / FDR South". Take the FDR south. Exit onto 34th Street. Follow 34th Street to Lexington Avenue and make a left. Go to 29th Street and make a right. Follow 29th Street to Madison Avenue and make a right. Go to 31st Street. Hotel is on the right.

*George Washington Bridge:
When crossing the GWB stay on right side and follow the signs to the Henry Hudson Parkway South. Follow the Henry Hudson Parkway South to 50th Street (Manhattan). Exit onto 50th and follow across town to Madison Avenue.

*Midtown Tunnel:
Enter the Queens Midtown Tunnel (pay toll). Upon exiting the tunnel bear right to 34th Street (Uptown sign). Go to Lexington Avenue and make a left. Go down to 29th Street and make a right. Follow 29th Street to Madison Avenue and make a right. Go 2 blocks to 31st Street. Hotel will be on the right side.
