the facilities available, lounge downstairs, internet access. It's proximity to the centre of New York.friendly front desk, very low price, close to subway, reasonably 'safe' area for upper west side. Clean hostel with no traffic noise in great location with easy access to the subway system..location on Manhattan, relatively close to underground station.
all reviews » Wireless internet. i had my own bed room. rather quiet. Becareful with the locker, normally 5 bucks for 24h. When the machinereturns the ticket it adds automatic one more hour (ie 9am instead of8am). Therefore, tomorrow when you come back at 8h30am, it means youpassed to the new day and you have to pay more 5 bucks to get thestuffs out. The hostel is cheap, considering it's located in the upper west side ofManhattan. It's quiet and very safe. It's convenient, you're 5 minutesaway from a subway that can get you everywhere and you're 10 minutesaway from Central Park. Nice.Hotel was what I expected. Price was cheap and location was good enough. 24H security brings nice safetyfeeling. People at the entrance. Good situation. The location is convient and near subway. a lounge of sorts but no tables and chairs to eat at. No twin/double rooms at all, only bunk beds..old building, seemingly renewed not long ago, but only superficially... View through the window was awful. the bath room and toilet were dirty most of the time. there was a constant cooking smell in the entire compex of appartments i've used during my stay. very small room with TL-light. What is not so cool about the hostel is that there is no parking at thehostel! They're saying that there's parking lots available... Butthere's 15 places for 250 persons... And it's on the street. Good luck.I had to pay 33$ per day, I had no other choice. Also, there's oneshower/toilet per floor which is cleary not enough. Walls are very thin. bunkbeds makes a lot of noice when you move. they change sheats everyday but blankets are one big joke. They are more likely curtains from 90's so bring your own sleeping bag. especially wintertimes blankets could be very cold. There is free Wi-Fi which is nice but it doesn't work upstairs.. only in lobby and Loinge-room.The room, the bed was so bad and the cleanness. Unfriendly administrative staff. Do not accept credit cards but do not have change in cash. All the machines there use cash but they don't provide change.The room is small and no toilet. many cockroaches inside the hotel, and even rooms, I saw cockroaches everywhere, I killed 4 of them inside my room, bad smell, dirty.Miniature room so that 2people could hardly fit in it, with nothing in it but a very small bed with dirty sheets, only 1bathroom for many rooms to use.

The hostel offers easy access to and from any location. Just steps from the 1 or 9 subway line, you are moments away to The "Worlds Famous Harlem" district or Times Square. From the Major airports you can take from JFK the A train to meet the 1 or 9 line uptown and exit at 96th Street station, then walk down 1 block to 95th Street, and 1 block west to West End Ave, we are of the corner. From LGA jump on the M60 bus and exit at Broadway and west 106th Street, then walk to 95th street and follow the rest of the instructions, or jump on the 1 or 9 line for 1 stop and exit at 96th street station, then follow the previous directions. From the Port Authority walk to Times Square station and take the 1 or 9 line and follow the same instructions. From Penn Station again follow the 1 or 9 line uptown, and follow the instructions. Or just hop in a famous Yellow Cab.
