Our room was quite big with a wonderful bathroom and shower. Also, it faced into the courtyard, which meant that we couldn't hear much of the party noise in front of the hotel. As we were celebrating our anniversary we received complimentary breakfast, which was very good and served until noon. The service on the beach was also excellent. all reviews » My experience at Hotel Breakwater was perfect and flawless. Perfectly located on the best area of South Beach FL. Cross the road to one of the best beaches in the area. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I have not noticed anything but a smile all through my stay! In particular Mr. Curtis and the night duty gentleman from front desk. They made my stay beautiful. Thanks guys I won't forget to thank Mr. Jimmy the General Manager who makes runs the whole friendly show. I will definitely not. Room was very cosy and newly furnished with modern items. Room spacious and had been given the best room in hotel 431 which is on the highest floor and overlooking the waters and main strip on south beach. Room service was okay. Got a complementary champagne for being honeymooners which was nice. Toilet and shower were also really nice. Room has complementary coffee and tea which is also a plus. My sink handle in the bathroom came off, the shower door was not very flush and let water onto the floor. Slow room service. If u want quiet not this location. or just bring ear plugs. And letsbookhotel.com should Know by now since its be months the hotel said..resort fee not 18.00 per day its 22.00 per day. Noise at night. Hotel had an outdooor band and DJ that played until the wee hours of the morning. Very noisy. The morning hostess at the restaurant really left quite a bit to be desired in a hostess. She was rude, disrespectful, unpleasant and unprofessional. This was a negative point. There was a lack of communication and feed back to me from theagent who took my call the day before i travelled. However, after various taxes and "hotel fees", which were not clearly expressed, it ended up costing over $200 per night which was highly disappointing. Bedroom was on the same level as the pool so people could see in... No blinds for privacy so had to have the curtains closed all day. Also right above the bar with music until 2am and no sound-proofing. Continental breakfast was disappointing too. Room service was terrible. They did not clean the room in the morning and when they did, they did a horrible job, leaving dirty sheets unchanegd, dirty towels unchanged, and used coffee mugs were left as is!. The facilites as some of them were not available for example the free Ipads/the jacuzzi area didnt seem open either. Very noisy in the evening because of the nightclub goes onto 4am. The carpet was not clean in the hallways. Although the rooms were cleaned well, they were not done until late in the day. Restaurant expensive and not great. The maid was not good - forgot my room one day even though it had been empty all day - never really cleaned well and forgot things like coffee. the "second" loby (ex EDISON) looks like a back room and does not reflect the master Breakwater loby. The hotel overcharged me and added bills multiple days after I checked out. I have still not resolved the issue. Too noisy as my room was just over the hotel nightclub .... But it's ocean drive.... The do not have a courtesy room if your flight leaves late and there is no way to change or have a shower but in the pool are. The "public" restrooms were not Been cleaned up during the day. The nightclub right next door that went til 5am each morning,extremely loud!!!! No chance of sleep. Uncomfortable pillows. Lifestyle/tour counter very uninterested. Would never stay there again now knowing about the nightclub but would definitely go back to Miami. too noisy, found the whole thing too tacky. the staff were ok except one, but having people outside the hotel touting for business mainly young girls made the whole experience very uneasy and degrading.
