Although this is a classical airport hotel, it is a good hub to visit LA, Hollywood, Universal and Disney. The drive is compensated by the fact that the Hotel is less expensive than the hotels in the city center. Nice restaurant. Rooms are spacious. Good and well assorted breakfast buffet, but there is also a coffee bar where you can get just a cup of coffee with some pastry or sandwich. The rooms are rely nice, I'd say better then in Sheraton near by. But the same stuff: no sleepers and bath-ropes, no safe. Rooms are clean and big, parking is three times cheaper, about $11. Stuff is great and sweet. Sorry could't say anything without comparing to Sheraton…coz we went to Crowne just becouse rudeness of the stuff at Sheraton's desk. Besides, bath stuff was really nice.
all reviews » The comfort of the my room was very important to me. Also the close location to the airport and that there was shuttle service from and to the airport. The staff was very helpful in recommending tourist attractions to see and the best way and cost effective travel. I would definitely recommend the Crowne Plaza to my friends as a place to stay. Loved how it was so clean and also they were right next to the airport which was fantastic. They also have a free 24 hour shuttle bus to and from the airport that comes every 20 minutes. The pool area is good that they have smoking there as well. So you don't always have to go down to the side of the building to smoke. Staff were awesome, breakfast was divine with rita, christian made housekeeping requests easy and fast, I am disabled and staff at check in out and all of our many calls were everso helpful to us we have travelled the world n this is the best hotel ever. Location near the airport, consistent good service, comfortable and functional rooms.I usually stay at the Crowne Plaza LAX when I am going or coming from LAX, and have found it consistently pleasant and relatively reasonable in price. The room service/food was great. We arrived after a very long day and were pleased to be able to relax comfortably for the night. The staff were also very helpful when our flight was delayed and we wanted to keep our room for longer. The hotel was great. It was very clean and nice all the staff were very nice and helpful. Even though it is a bit far from town or all the sight seeking... having transportation to the metro station is a great choice via bus or taxi. comfortable room, especially bed, nice swimmingpool. Booked a room for 4 adults as we have 7 hours to spare before flying off. The room is clean and comfortable.Glad that we have a rest before taking the 15 hours flight home. The pool area was rather small but luckily not busy. Spa facilities would be very popular for tired travellers. Nothing major. It would be helpful if they could place some cutlery in the room it was hard to try to eat things that u didn't buy from the hotel. Also, if you allow renting ridge for free anyway.... just put one in the room anyway. The parking charges are very expensive. I would say this is more for business travellers. The parking was a little confusing, but we worked things out with the staff, who allowed us to unload our car, which we these were returning to the car rental at a different location (turned out just two blocks away). The transportation to the airport was over-full early in the morning. Fortunately, another van was close by (from another facility), which agreed to take those of us who did not fit on the first shuttle. No free wi-fi. No shopping mall and not much choices for restaurants. However for $5, you can take the Ocean Express that goes to Manhattan Beach, Manhattan Village Shopping Centre and Plaza El Segundo. That there wasn't any cups in the room ( ceramic I mean and didn't see that you could ask ) the room was cleaned well but did not top up our tea coffees and sugars even after we left a note asking for Black Tea instead of Coffee. No refrigerator in the room. Although they provided us one refrigerator free of charge. Internet is not free of charge even in lobby and costs 14.95 usd per 24 hours which is too much. Proximity to LAX can be a little noisy depending on room location. I lost my phone, and it has been a bit of a hassle finding the right people to talk to about wether or not it has turned up. I have to say that when we talked with security and housekeeping, they have been exceptionally kind to me. Going downstairs to have our room key re-keyed every time we came back to hotel (at least four or five times a day). No in room safe, no mini fridge or microwave. N/A. Not the most friendly or helpful staff we encountered, they did nothing wrong, but they didnt do anything more than the basics either. Only bad point was the breakfast staffs poor customer service skills. A few were very rude. But others were not. So we were specific with who helped us and left if the nice ones were not there. Training needed for servers. The parking garage was a pain. The entrance to the garage would change from gate to gate. The hotel lacked security outside and in the parking garage as well. I did not really feel safe leaving my car in the garage, but thankfully nothing happend to my vehicle. Overbearing loud airline staff who stayed there. wi-fi is too expensive.You need check the bills,because the rate of your rooms can be high,,then you booked at letsbookhotel.com!. The water pressure and temparature of the shower was bad. this is not a swimming pool, it is just a pond!!!! There is not free Wifi Internet access and it costs around 16$ for 24 hours!!!. It seems that the parking fee of hotel guest (usd 18/day)is more expensive than ordinary visitor(USD 11/day). None. The bath tub drainage was very slow. Poor, small pool. Limited chairs and loungers and in the shade. Breakfast buffet. Very unorganized. Out of eggs for probably 20 minutes during peak period. Wait to be seated was long although plenty of tables. No free WIFI for guests not even in the lobby- very disappointing and unbelievable in an era when even very small hotels provide this otherwise common service. Nothing. They insisted to bring the luggage to our room but we had to go down and hurry them up Breakfast extremely expensive.
