Loved the pool and fitness center. The resort was very clean and mostly quiet.

I was across from a Staff only door that the staff opened and closed all night long. They also dragged stuff in there. The room was isolated from the outside noises but the hallway noises caused by the staff kept me up half the night. There was no complimentary coffee downstairs in the morning, and the breakfast at half moon restaurant was too expensive.

I could not have been more impressed with everything at this hotel. The staff was fantastic, from Valet team, (whom called me when I left my phone in the car and brought it to my room), to the front desk, (that allowed me to check in really early), to the cleaning staff, who ran a really tight ship - my room was perfect! I had a Newport Suite that has an incredible view of downtown nyc. I cannot say enough about the view, the room, the service,. Absolutely one of the best stays I've ever had, especially in the nyc region.

If I absolutely have to find something, the room service menu was limited and kind of expensive. Suggest you go directly to the restaurant downstairs where you can order from their full menu for take out and bring to your room. Less expensive and fuller menu. (Even the owner of the restaurant was a nice guy!)

The convinience of cathing the PATH train into New York

Better value than staying in Manhattan yet extremely easy to travel across the river using the PATH train. A great view of the Manhattan skyline greeting you each morning. Swimming pool and gym were a good size and in good condition.

Not particularly easy to get to from JFK airport. Coffee, tea, shampoo and soaps were only restocked on request.

Excellent location for shopping...walking along the waterfront...and travelling into NYC. Parking garage was nearby. Comfort level was outstanding. Loved the floor to ceiling windows that overlooked the Hudson and an excellent view of NYC.

Free interenet use would be an added bonus instead of having to pay.

Comfort of the room and the location of the hotel...so close to the subway and to shopping. Staff were always responsive and pleasant. We will be staying here in the future and recommending the hotel to our friends.

Great location with a beautiful view of the nyc skyline

Parking charged to my stay, without using or authorizing it. I arrived by taxi & left the same way. Disputing my bill, hotel as of yet removed these charges. They say "SOON"

Expensive restaurant, the eco-standards the hotel follows need to be better explained on arrival so that simple things like running out of bathroom tissue don't happen !!

The rooms were very clean, and the hotel and room just smelled clean when you walked in. Modern design was great, along with close proximity to PATH train.

Having to pay for parking. And when I booked a room with "city views" I thought I was getting NYC skyline views, not buildings in Jersey City right outside my window.

Incredible location!! Ease of traveling to the city and the beauty of the manhattan skyline....so many restaurants, shopping in close walking distance....will definitely return! Staff was helpful with walking and train directions....couldn't have had a better stay!

The hotel is extremely close to the light path train, which made traveling to nyc extremely convenient. The mattresses were quite comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. Debbie was also extremely helpful. We had a rather large yellowish stain on the comforter of one of our beds, and she had housekeeping change it immediately. Also, she gave our family a breakfast voucher for two (which was a $60 value).

*The hotel rooms need more luggage stands. There was also no microwave, which made eating leftovers an unpleasant experience. The refrigerator was also extremely small, so there was inadequate storage space. For example, it was practically impossible to store a 20 oz. Bottle of Coke in the fridge.

Great location. Just minutes away from the madness of New York city. Beautiful skyline of New York city at night - no need to go on night cruise. Its is free here. Newport - Quiet, wide streets with hugh modern buildings. Love it. Its like Singapore without the crowd! Location next to big shopping mall with a fabulous food court.

Horrible variant of Starbucks coffee in room. Can we not have regular coffee? Cleaner woman not consistent in. stocking up coffee/tea/drinking water. Sometimes she missed the sugar, creamer, tea. She placed a complimentary tag on drinking water that is not free & we got charged for it. Wifi should be free in rooms for hotels of Westin standard.

Hotel is located in Jersy City in a beautiful and quiet area.The newport metro station is less than 150m far from the hotel and by using metro you can reach time square area within half an hour. Also there are some big shopping malls near the hotel. The rooms are beautiful and clean.Wifi internet in lobby is free of charge which is a bonus.Hotel staff are friendly and cooperative.

The room size is great, Location is great to commute to Manhatten, particular on weekdays, on Weekends it can take some time (up to an hour) to get downtown towards Time Square.

Unfriendly staff, they're not shy to let you know that you can't expect anything when last night was wedding ... And many more things, too many to list them here. I'm sure I'm not going back there.
