The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a small glitch with the plumbing and they moved us to another room. Even though there was construction on the road in front of the Lodge, it really wasn't an inconvenience. The noise wasn't audible from our room. We were even able to to get the the Mexican restaurant across the street on foot. Over all, we would stay there again because of the location and staff.
all reviews » I registered on-line and looked at many other hotels; the others would not give me the mid-week price if Saturday were included but jhl did. That ultimately made my decision. Everything was as presented, very comfortable. I slept well, comfortable mattress; could set my own room temperature. Friendly and helpful staff, well appointed room, great location. The pool, grounds, and buildings are well kept. Fast wifi. Our room had a kitchen which included dishes and utensils, which was very nice. Located within walking distance of town center. Traveling with Dad and 2 kids makes Mom a little frazzled. Mary upgraded us to a suite, which worked out great! Mary was extremely helpful! The suite was beautiful and spacious!. The room, although an older hotel, was very spacious and clean. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Walking distance from downtown. Staff friendly and knowledgable about the area & suggesting places to eat,comfortable rooms, nice indoor pool, great location. Loved upgrade to a suite, which was spacious and very comfortable. All desired amenities were provided. our room which was a one bedroom suite / laundry in room/ first floor accomodations. I loved the location of the lodge. Not much in your power, but the construction made it a bit tricky to get in and out. I realize this is temporary. The bathroom is tiny, but ok except the fan is very noisy; it must disturb neighbors. Furnishings and fixtures are old but well maintained; upper floors have no elevators (request a ground floor if you're dragging lots of luggage). Ice machines were centrally located, but not convenient for all rooms. Current parking lot construction made parking cramped, but we still found a spot on sold out night. Road construction right in front of the hotel made leaving a bit of a challenge. Its downtown location. No views from windows. When we were there the roads were under construction. It made it difficult to get in and out of the lodge. Road construction made for difficult access and parking. - A bit dated. Nice place. WiFi didn't work. No workout room. The bathroom in our room was so small we good not shower and was very uncomfortable to use. renovations occurring. Under no circomstances a hotel which reception lobby is under rennovation can not charge full amount which was already high and paid in advance of almost two months..... Outdated and overpriced, the worst place we stayed on our recent holiday. Our greatest mistake was pre-booking an extra night in order to see the local rodeo. One night was more than enough!.
