The suite was real value for money. Mother and grown-up son had all the space they needed. Service lady was really great and friendly as was the booking agent for shows etc. Breakfast was amazing and there was so much to choose from. I am fond of vegetables and between the omelette veg choice and Japanese food it was wonderful. Cabs were always available outside and doormen very polite and helpful. We loved our stay Thank you.
all reviews » The hotel was great, the location was fantastic! It's close to shopping and great restaurants. Room was clean and spacious. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a slight mix up with our room, and Michael, the night manager, handled it just great. He took good care of us, and I would stay there again!(Also, we loved the water in the lobby!). quite a transformation in a year's time -we stayed there we/ another teen grandchild last yr and returned for 2 reasons, the location and the suite option. Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Concierge services were terrific.Everything was spotlessly clean - great housekeeping services! Our suite was exactly what I had asked for, view included - loved it!. Great breakfast buffet and managers reception that Embassy Suites are known for Multi-room suites separating sitting and sleeping spaces great for multiple people. Only 1 1/2 blocks from train stop and many bus routes pick up very nearby Only 3 blocks from Michigan Avenue. Easy, enjoyable walk. Lots of great places to eat within a block or two. This was a fantastic hotel the staff are amazing. The rooms are very large and really clean. The pool area was great as well. There breakfast was the best we have ever had at a hotel. Location was good close to the shopping. Overall one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in would recommend it to anyone. Super friendly staff. Newly updated facility. Since I was also traveling for work, i unexpectedly had to jump on a conference call.A rep was kind enough to let me use a conference room facility for an hour, which I found to be extremely kind of her. The hotel is very close to Michigan AVE and it's perfect for business travel. there are swimming pool and gym, The breakfast is good and there are many things to choose (American and English breakfast or Cereals, bread and Yogurt for example...). Location was excellent, close many of the benefits of the city. Located in the heart of the Chicago loop and walking distance of shopping, food, Michigan Ave. etc. Breakfast was great!! Usually, when breakfast is included in the cost of the room, it is a sparce, continental breakfast. This was a breakfast buffet! Impressive. Location for subway, shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was great although line was really long on Sunday. Afternoon snack time was great. I love the managers special and the breakfast. Nothing!. the non refundable reservation didn't seem to give me a price discount, - why??. Hide-a-bed couch and chair provided were not comfortable to sit on after a great day of walking. Breakfast on Saturday didn't start until 7:30 which seemed pretty late. 55.00 a day to park. Wish that was included in the price. the lighting in the room was quite dim, even with all the lights on. If you need the Wi-Fi internet connnection, you'll have to pay. That the cost for wifi was extravagant! We were travelling with our 2 teenage granddaughters so we had 4 devices requiring access to wifi. $10 per day per device is excessive, in my opinion. I would rather see you do away with the evening reception and make wifi available for free. A bit noisy with weekend crowds. Blinds did not close all the way (the ones that block out the light; there were lighter blinds that could close but the light penetrated). Could not make room dark from city lights. This could be easy for the hotel to fix by having the darker blinds on a rail instead of fixed in one position. Expensive but worth it. pool. The size of the pool. From the picture it looked a lot bigger. Nothing. Hope I didn't get charged for drinking the bottle water in the room. The outrageous price for parking. We stayed for 3 nights. There should be some sort of discount for 3 nights. $150.Oo. Nothing. Paying for WiFi in 2013 is a joke. Beds were uncomfortable. Would love s bigger pool. The 1st Lady on the front desk who approaches me. She is not welcoming, she is not cheerful, but the rest are all friendly. The Breakfast Staff are all friendly and the food are perfect. i loved everything. Hotel did not have our reservations when we got there. I brought a copy with details and reservation number from letsbookhotel.com (thank goodness) It took us quite a while to get into room. - breakfast - long distance call tariff - unknown charges. Difficult to access internet connection. lack of staff or a regular meeting place with a bar for customers only. Our room was not the best as far as sanitary. I had to re order bath towels because ours were stained. There was a false finger nail under our bathroom sink which once we saw that and the stained towels made us suspect the cleanliness of the entire room. some of the reception staff were not cooperative or helpfull. Breakfast was cold! and the prices are a little bit expensive. Every time I tried to reach someone via phone I was unable to reach anyone. We had to wait 35 minutes to get our car after being told we couldnt call ahead we just had to go down and ask them. The pool was tiny and looks nothing like the pictures on the site. They held extra money on my debit card when I never authorized it. long lines for breakfast. Not able to find a seat at breakfast for our children. Ran out of eggs. Ran out of cereal. Ran out of bowls. Had to keep asking staff for these things. Parking is extremely expensive. 49.00. Many parking lots aroud that area are 10.00 less. We checked out 2 days early. Not satisfied at all. We planned on having adjoining rooms and even called earlier in the day/prior to check in to verify such accommodations. We were told that we were going to have them. However, at check-in, we were told that "there are not adjoining rooms in the hotel." We would have not chosen to stay here had we known that. We were traveling with another family and that was our main reason for choosing embassy suites.
