Polite and helpful staff, no complaints about this hotel at all. Excellent value for money. Rooms were clean and well amintained. really fast breakfast and packed me a take out lunch helpful staff for how to get places. Hotel Staff was very helpful with travel directions. Restaurant was average, but why expect more?. You need to update the bedspreads. Location - it was far from Boston centre and Harvard.The view out the hotel window onto the municiple works yard. We thought it was to expensive but relative to other accommodations in Boston it may not have been unreasonable.It's becoming so run down that it's no longer seen as a value to me. The air handling system was noisy, the vents dirty, the elevator in poor condition etc. rugs were dirty...renovate with newer, plusher rugs...had a problem at check-in with reservations and the desk attendant on at time did not explain problem to me sufficiently...but the attendant on at morning during checkout did and was extremely helpful.Not prepared to pay for Wi-Fi access. The breakfast could have been better. The heating system produced a somewhat disturbing sound (noise). Some extra facilities (like a game room, with a e.g. a pool and other table games would be nice). it doesn't smell nice. our room was rather poor - right across from the ice machine and the elevators and we couldn't control the temperature so it was very hot. tooooooo pricey for what I got. Adjacent to hotel is Boston Ice Skating Club with its constant machinery noise! Windows are not soundproof, thus very annoying.
