Was close to fenway park where I was going to a concert. Good restaraunts in the area. Love Boston anyway. The hotel was brand new loved the fact that we were the very first guest checking in! The staff could not have been any nicer to us. Loved the friendly , accommodating staff. The location was perfect, near public transport, restaurants, etc. The kitchenette, on site laundry room and rooftop balcony/bar area is a plus.
all reviews » The Hotel was clean and modern. The breakfast buffet was excellent and they continued to replenish the food until closing time. I heard they also do free Dinner Buffets during the week. And the room temperature controller worked great even though at times the fan was little strong. My son enjoyed breakfast with waffle maker every morning. There was nothing I did not like about the hotel or the staff there . Did not like the housekeeping staff coming into the room after the first knock on the door. I think this is more of a training issue (the hotel is newly opened) rather then a significant problem. I was staying for 14 days so the $40 per night parking fee was very costly. The gym was good, but needs some rubberized flooring. The flooring that is layer can be slick especially if wet. The 3 guaranteed room sizes we booked, 1Bedroom King, were all not available at check in and we had to ask for an adjustment on our bill to reflect the sizes of the 2 smaller King Studio rooms. Only minor complain is our room overlooked the HVAC units on a lower roof below. Some of that noise filtered into our room - slightly difficult to get to sleep. Was a tad pricy, but for a Residence Inn it is to be expected. There was too much chemicals in the pool. The kitchen did not have an oven. I had a view of the parking garage. Front desk a bit unorganized - asking for help calling a cab seemed an inconvenience for desk agents (no bell staff on duty). Pricey. Stayed is a suite with a full kitchen, but the microwave didn't work. The actual quality of the food during breakfast and the PM "social" were sub par Pretty long walk to T. No complaints !. Found pair of Beats headphones ($$) on 4th floor, brought to desk and turned them in to desk representative. Would have liked our name taken and told we could have them if not claimed. Also would have liked some food/room food ordering options, even if a local pizza shop. The room would not cool down enough for us.... but we like the room around 65°. Little pricey,. Bar Louie closes too early. We were told 10 P.M. from the bellhop and probably were up there around 9:30. The gal ignored us even though she told us to sit under the awning to avoid rain drops. When my husband went to get glasses of wine after waiting for service, he was told we were too late; that the closing was 9. That was an unfortunate blemish as we would have loved to unwind from the baseball game in the lovely seating area. It was a very new hotel which was great, but the outlets in our bedroom did not work and when reported to the front desk we were told it was a new hotel. :). It is far from Harvard business school spending us some 50 dollars for transportation back and forth. Parking is too expensive and the two ladies at the reception were not very friendly. Breakfast was somewhat of a circus. Quality and selection marginal. Our room was directly beneath gym, a few times suspicion is children in gym late at night dropping weights very disconcerting. Hotel and the room was really smelling bad. It was smelling like there are pets inside. Swimming pool area was cold. I requested a top floor room, and was not offered one. The floor I was on, had a group of college alums on it I later learned, and they were quite noisy in the hallway even after midnight!. When we arrived we were told there was no parking spaces availabe, so we have to go to a garage down the street. I asked about staying in the lot and cost and was told by the valet that we could stay there for the same price the Hotel offered $40 for valet service. When we left the next day it cost $22 more then the $35 I paid to see the game to park in that lot. That was not right.
